If you applied inland then you won't hear anything until the end of Aug. (I'm not sure if you applied inland or out since you didn't put Vegreville as your visa office). Mine was received by CIC at Nov 3 2010 and the call center said I should hear something around the end of Aug or beginning of Sep.

If you applied inland, you are welcome to come to this thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-applications-2010-t48144.6075.html
since all 2010 inland applicants are all sharing their update there.

holly crap! they are finally on October 8th! Only 4 more weeks for our application time! (November 4th)

Congrats once again!! Thank you for your words of wisdom. Im still praying daily for this process to be over inshallah!! Another 19 days and its eother visa inshallah or redo medicals :-(

Hi there, I'm one of the Nov. 2010 applicant's , they received my application, Nov. 23, 2010. They requested an update April 2011, like my address and work... and that's it, and it was July 13, 2011 they inputed that information on my file! then today, got a letter from CPC-V today that they sent our papers to Local cic in Edmonton last Oct. 19, meaning they still have questions.... and we need to wait again for their call or letter for interview. I hope it won't take long for them to send letter... ;(.

I know you are waiting for good news, sorry for this post, but it does not mean that we'll be on the same boat as we don't have the same situation, :)

The best of luck!

Hey Charmaine,

I see that your application got transferred to a local office.. Hopefully they will expedite your application from there and u can get your AIP asap. :) Well, CIC always take a couple of months to process new docs/info sent to them...Its the same for me too. At the very least, i have a notion on the dates and time taken to respond with an outcome from your reply.. I am simply keeping my fingers crossed now.. I did send extra info to CIC about my marriage but it wasnt as detailed as some others..Some of the people i heard sent encyclopedia-liked history and proof of their relationship to CIC, which i didnt provide...I am just hoping whatever i have given is sufficient that i can get my AIP and OWP soon.... Hopefully u can get your AIP soon too...and end the waiting....

Hi everyone, just checking in with those who are still here from the beginning of this thread.

Well howdy! We arrived in Calgary in June, approximately 8 weeks after receiving back my passport with visa. Landing and immigration processes on arrival went smoothly. We had goods to follow and they arrived in September and it was easy to deal with customs with all the paperwork.

I still haven't received my official permanent resident card... not sure why, I think I should probably follow that up in the next few weeks before it escapes my mind completely. But in the meantime, it hasn't been an issue, I've now got a drivers license, social insurance number, provincial health care and... a new baby girl! I was lucky to have midwife care and secured their support from 36 weeks pregnant (I arrived in Canada in my 3rd trimester!) and we had a beautiful, peaceful and safe homebirth.

Well I hope everyone's application is progressing well and people have moved or preparing to transition into Canada shortly. Winter is fast approaching and it's pretty exciting waiting for that snow to fall.

hey everyone !!

beautiful day for us !! We got PPR today all praise be to God.

It's been exactly 1 year since sent to mississauga and 11 months from my VO.

Good luck to you all !!!Finally its all over :-)

Just an update on my status. In August I got a letter that asked for more proof of our common law relationship and proof that I could get a visa issued to me. I sent them in October (within my 60 days time limit) a common law declaration, proof of joint bank account and on a recent trip to the states, on my re-entry, a visa issued to me valid for 6 months.

I just received an e-mail asking for me to pay the RPRF. So I will pay that today and keep my fingers crossed. It states in the e-mail that this does not mean a final decision has been made. But I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for a positive outcome. This has been a long journey.

Just wanted to give an update!!

Well.....I had my heart-stopping moment today... PPR arrived by post! I was so shocked I had to go ask my neighbour to read it with me to make sure it was real and I wasn't dreaming! Can't wait to tell my husband. I'm wearing my roots canada shirt, we'll go surprise him at work when toddler 1 wakes!! My poor mum here in Australia is going to want to kill me. She knew we had applied but was in denial we would be leaving. Will be hard to break the news to her.

Here is the updated table, let me know if I need to change any of the details. Good luck everyone, it's magical, you never know what the day will bring. The frustration, patience, stress, anger, joy, worry, anxiety, heartache... all valid emotions because it IS incredibly stressful this waiting period so I feel for you who are still waiting like I was every day - checking that e-cas, email and post box like someone with OCD. The decision you want will also be here soon.

AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt – the first official document that says the application for permanent residence status has been received.
PPR – Passport request – Immigration requests passport when they are ready to issue the visa.
DM - Decision made (waiting on letter to confirm)
Do you have any idea about any latest update regarding SASKATCHEWAN Immigration since i applied 16 Nov 2010 but approval not received yet.
