tell your wife to stop crying i know it is hard but that what you and she supposed to do now
i knowit is hard but try to focus on the long road and your long term dreams yes it is taking too long we cry,weep and scream but sometimes when you listen to other in the same situation they have been in this long time and a handful of years you are still ok during this reasonable time damascus spousal at your stage should finalize your spousal application by nov or dec dont break what you start to build and ask your wife to stay busy between work or school and friends and family this time to give her comfort and stay in touch with her every day by text or phone or email
i know it is hard but this is what we all are doing let her start university here start yours there and dont loose any minute just waiting for papers at the end you will be here but try to stay calm and encourage her
i know my words are hard but this what i tell myself when there is no more tears for me
just remember you have to proof as part of sponsorship application that you will live and stay in canada when you finish your papers

Thanks kamal for ur words. You are right. But the issue that killing us is that they dont mention ab estimated time ! They only say your file is in the quene ! We normally speak 2 hours on the phone daily ! It seems these tricks stoped working !!

you are exactly same as mine. Damascus started processing my file 17 june and sent an email requesting landing fee on 28th july. Gave me 60 days. And now there isnt any update
could you please tell me what documents they required from you!
When did u send the requested documents to the embassy?

hi rezan,
they start in process for my application mid may send me a letter has to reply within 45 days for information they need everything from my side is done only now for them to finish and issue visa
let us say i finish in sep you will be in oct that is what my lawyer told me i will keep you updated

military background which i didnt do cuz i am the only son of the family
cuz i will be living in quebec ,certificat du selection which i already applied for
and the landing fee. and 45 days limit, still didnt send the docs cuz i am waiting the certificat du selection from quebec .
and what did they request from you ? thank you for your reply .

and
right of permanent resident fee

I sent request documentation on 1th august
but
still nothing happened !

hi rezan i didnt get the questionaire yet
probably will get it after i send the docs to the embassy
the only thing that is worrying me is that i got married in canada and i am not registered as married in syria in order to register myself and my canadian wife i need several documentation and a court order from syria for registration it can take up to 6 months for me to prepare i hope they will not ask ,my lawyer is saying they usually ask when the marriage is solomnized in syria but mine is in canada but i already started the process of registration just in case they will ask .

actually the questionnaire wasnt anything rather than a very simple one ! most of the asked questions were asnwered by me while applied in the forms and other documentation. I think this questionnaire is just sent to me to check if my previous information changed
Do not be worry my friend, I hope you are getting out of trouble. it depends on your relationship. if you lived together and have sufficient documents to show your marriage is not a kind of fake ones then they will not probably ask for more docs.
I hope all of us will have a reply soon because waiting is killing me
I am a doctor in Iran, I am admitted to university of toronto to continue my studies ( actually repeat my previous studies !!!) ! the university asked me to be in attendance no later than END OF SEPTEMBER and I am very very worried cause I think I may loose the deadline. me and my wife were classmates and admitted to UoT together, I don't want to loose university and being classmate with my wife. :'( :'(
so sad !

what a coincidence i met my wife in spanish class while i was attending college .
i know her since fall 2007 and i am married since december 20 2010 .and i have send plenty of pictures chat logs skype logs even bills from vacations that we went together i hope everything will be ok with you i am sad that you will not be able to continue you study with your wife or even attend to univercity to finish up your study i hope everything will be ok with us and we get to start back our life from where it was left .

those documents show that your marriage is genuine and i dont think that there will a problem.
I spoke with university and they accepted that if i can be there in end september that will be ok. There is 1 month remaining ! I hope ... !!!

I have a question..... where does Damascus send the questionnaire and document request? to the sponsor in Canada or to the main applicant's address ????
actually waiting is making me kind of mad... I am thinking maybe there is a problem in receiving mails... because I have not received anything after the file number, is it ok???? what should I do if the post lost my mail?

please tell me your timeline so i can tell you whether it is too soon to expect that email or not.
mention exact and full date of ur application
below ur posts are the timeline which is very vague
please tell me: when canadian embassy to damascus started processing ur file ?

my file is in process since April 06 in Damascus.. ( I sent the file to Mississauga on March 05 and it was approved and transferred to Damascus at the of March)
So you received it by email?? I haven't a lower so I don't know the procedure well...

hereby i explain at the best of my knowledge to help you.
First of all i must told you that you havent lost anything by loss of a lawyer
my lawyer didnt do any thing special. Just looked at the forms i filled and said they are fine and charged me 3000$ !!!
the embassy will send you (principal applicant) an email and requesting more documents if needed
you didnt say whether you have paid landing fee or not
if you are worried about your case it is alright to send an email to the embassy and ask them for helps
if you have further Q dont hesitate to ask me

you are right a lawyer will not make your case faster just that they will forsee any mistake or misunderstanding to the questions that they repeat a million time in the forms
i hope you are here soon otherwise i know that uft university starts not only in sep but also in jan 2011
email the university and try to explain and see what happen

as for zohreh you share our timeline so you are on the right track as us and within a month you should here from the visa office as assured by my lawyer for the time processing /being married in canada you should have a marriage certificate ??? did you marry in city hall or church or with sheikh as for muslims you should have a marriage ceritficate from canada / if needed some witness letters will also be nice if you can have to prove your marriage
