For those that received the COPR... did the top of the document say something like Generic Document 3..... and then followed by the title Confirmation of Perm. Res.

Also was it 3 sheets of paper with carbon copy sheets in between?

Yes, its carbon copy and it says just that (generic and then the COPR title). You sign it at the airport went landing in front of the immigration officer. They then give you a copy that you keep forever and the other sheets are sent and microfilmed in case you loose your copy.

@ cdngrl
I will confirm soon. but i called my friend whose wife landed recently.

It was just the COPR one page ( without any carbon copies what she got ) and that is what she handed to the IO@ pearson.

She signed it in Pearson and they printed a Landing Paper with a carbon copy and she signed and they attached the Copy of that landing paper in the passport.

This is what i did when i landed in 2008 inland, i guess maybe they have 2 procedures..but i will confirm soon.
I never have the COPR for myself all i have for me is the landing copy when i landed..

lets see..........

You only know your file # when they send you the PPR/Email/Call you to submit PP.

So annoyed ryt now. My husband still hasnt received his PR card so we called CIC today to make sure all is well with photo and signature. What we found out made me mad... so they advertise 31 to 34 days for receiving card... turns out for aome its a big fat lie. Sometimes they scoop up a bunch of cards and they get screened for extra special quality control issues. This bull crap procedure takes a few months, so now he is without his card for the rest of the summer.

Hey Girl,
takes 6-8 working weeks at this time of the year ( FROM WHAT OTHERS REPORT )
You should check out the most recent avg stats, as this has nothing to do with which visa ofiice you come from.
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pr-card-arrival-timeline-t73191.0.html

very recent and all apilicants are complaining that it is taking more than 6 weeks, and remember the Canada Post strike !

@ cdngirl, ( sorry it is 1 am EST June 4 )

Called my wife...
No,she just got a COPR ( no carbon ) AND The manual ( no carbon ) ( 3 page )
and the 3 pager conrtats and blah blah is a manual ................so u don even need it as i said ( at least in what they sent me )

Landing papers will never have the pic of the applicant as i have one for myself.
COPR and landing papers are different but have same info with OUT the picture.
But both are the same when you apply for citizeship, either A or B..nothing else.

All is fine as this is how i landed.

To land you just need the COPR and the PP...and u will get ur anding papers ( usually stapled to ur last page in pp - a copy )

and i am 200% not worried abt the carbon or trying to contact ND and neighter should you as long as the one page COPR is accurate.

Fcukk ND....................no more friendship with them.

congratulations to both of you. Before receiving the passport what Was the status on the website. Was it go process or decision made or application received

I have a basic question. I sponsored my wife and she got her visa stamped in her passport. Does she needs a transit visa for UK if she plans to travel via that route.

Thanks in advance. Also would like to thank this forum for being extremely useful. Also those who are waiting for their passport with visa stamped, I wish you all the best.

Nope not for UK if she is travelling USA or Canada on a valid visa.

Thanks. The visa she has is the immigration visa (one she got stamped from the embassy) to enter Canada. So she can transit visa UK on this visa. Right?
