whatever wedding hall and reception hall we booked, i sent original. likewise catering we booked for wedding and reception, bus booked for 1 day, all shopping we did during wedding etcs... but all these documents should be with them as I sent it with application...but still its ND anything is possible..fingers crossed

You are good :-)

I sent all the original as well, I mean I knew what I was doing, but I read it very carefully, and I think the Birth Certificate has to be original ?

I did not send the marriage certificate as original, I had like the one from the mosque, one from the government of gujarat, (both copies)
but the Birth (was original, and I have few extra in ORIGINAL form and also made a copy of the one I sent to CIC)

I sent all the original phone bills (reason I printed them my self, so I've got the PDFs on gmail if I ever need)

Before I submitted the application, I made photo copy (exact duplicate) of what I was sending, and I made all the copies on HIGH QUALITY GLOSS paper in COLOR with THICK 1 setting (IT person might know what I mean by THICK 1) ... meaning I kept the duplicate of entire package. (with the exception of PICTURES, but today I also printed one additional copy of all the pictures I've sent (about 300) in 8 different envelopes and I marked each envelope like this:
01 - Pithi (Ceremony of Pithi) - Dec 11 2010
02 - Jaan (Arrival of the Groom) - Dec 12 2010
03 - Nikah (Ceremony of Nikah) - Dec 12 2010
04 - Warbarah (Feeding the Groom and his friends)
05 - Lunch (Invited Guests having Lunch)
06 - Bidai (Bride and Groom Departure) - Dec 12 2010
07 - Honeymoon (At the Hotel)
08 - Walima (Ceremony of Walima) - Dec 13 2010

I sent all my original receipt with application. - what kind?

according to ND guide only 2 originals are needed for ND - PCC & Medicals.
Everything else is a photocopy unless they ask you for the original.

wah kya baat hai :P

Good Job DNT and great documentation.

Like i mentioned, ND does not any other original other than PCC/Medicals.
Other documents like phone bills, receipts, wedding cards etc can be original as they have nothing to do with the Govt.

It is upto you as an applicant to send original or Xerox of supporting documents, but original is not a MUST ( Yes even for birth certificate )

Looking at all your documents i am impressed, i guess i was a lazy a$$
all i sent was

30-40 pics ( total) of dating, eng, marriage, honeymoon & a few emails
wedding card
honeymoon hotel receipts, flight tickets
Phone bills - 5 months
that's it...now i am thinking if i should have sent more

@ohohogirl

Congrats to you......................... :D ;)

@ DNT 2003

I guess you need to add me to the list of ppl who has still not received their visa.

@DNT2003

It sounds like you only sent them photos from 3 days all related to marriage. Unless everything happened over a very short period of time, you should consider sending them additional pictures from even casual outings and not necessarily "events" such as marriage/engagement.

@fprince

Remember I once asked on this forum if it will be okay to send ND additional proof without them asking for it? Well, I also asked ND the same question and I have it in writing from them saying that we can send additional docs ANYTIME in the process as long as a file # has been created. Anything that will help them determine your relationship is genuine is a good thing. So if you feel the proof you sent is not enough, don't hesitate to send additional docs...
