When you got your PPR you would have got your file #.
Anyways, client id and file # will display the same status in ecas.

There is no STANDARD when it comes to what we can see on eCAS, they never follow it correctly for everyone.

I just check it everyday with the Receipt #, and I think its sufficient for me, but I do wanna see the difference when we check it with the file #, but I'm still waiting for the PPR to come in so I can get that file # out.

Trust me the info is same with client id and file number.
Why can't u login with ur client id? you should be able too..make sure u key in the right details about your place of birth and d.o.b and u should log in.

both shows the same info when it comes to STATUS,

They have updated the applicant address for all files i guess, so when u login using your file # you should see it..but i have also been told that the file id does NOT work when the status is application received, in my case it is in process so file # gives me the results.

I see that clears up everything, I use this application called RoboForm, and its password protected, so you add eCAS status login info and save that, so next time you want to check the status you just click on the Favourite and it will goto the page, enter all the info, and click submit and it will SHOW you all the info on its own.. with just a click of an icon.

I am now wishing for the PPR... and a decision made very quickly...

This week is coming near to the long weekend....... everyone what have you got planned for the long weekend?

I will be just on the phone with my wife, and doing some work around the area.... and if the weather is nice I will change my winter rims and tires and put back my 19" rims with tires. Also if VSF is open on Saturday I will make sure I submit my OCI application, as I've completed everything since last week, just being lazy and not getting that DEMAND DRAFT made in 275 USD$ why can't they accept Canadian$ its higher than the US$.

Yeah I will definately go and pick up my spouse, she has never travelled on a plane before, and when I went there in Feb 2011, we went to Kerala, it was her first time being on Flight (never fly IndiGo - the bus seats are better than IndiGo's) and I wouldn't feel comfortable she coming alone, as she doesn't speak English at all, also if I go I will get to say goodbye to India and family... for sometime, not going back for atleast 2 years or so, unless ofcourse my wife has a wish... then we will go.... for a short visit, and ofcourse make use of that OCI.... have to make about 4 Trips to India to cover the cost of OCI fees. It has been my dream to bring her to Canada with me.... all the way from our village.

I'll be honest, when I left india on March 26th I didn't break into tears until I saw few couples who looked like it was their first time, but the part where YOU are ALONE hurts the most.

Pray for me, and hope all is well, and I did check the tickets are cheap until end of June, then they start to rise.... (I will have trouble in July will be hard to afford because price just doubles!!)

Checked today: June 29 single ticket from BOM to YYZ = 685 (25 hours journey) or 708 (19 hours journey)

Yeah the ppr letter was dated on MArch 22 but my partner did not receive it by mail till April 4th. The ND office received his pp on April 8th.
