A BIG Congrats to Maple for the DM !!!!!! Happy for you.

Congrats to Siva and vir_ajay for the PPRs !!!!

and advanced congrats to kuku :P

you guys are our hope !

Hi, everyone

Well, after spending the entire weekend on the finishing touches I mailed off my application today. Should arrive at CPC-M tomorrow. It's such a relief to get the process started after agonizing over the forms and supporting evidence for so long ... and now the waiting begins! I feel like I'm finally in the boat with all of you after standing on the dock all this time :)

Thanks to everyone who answered my queries up to this point - I'm sure there will be more along the way.

As I understand it, CPC-M won't send an AOR and will reply only when they make a decision on my sponsorship assessment - is that correct? So I should expect no word for the next 68 days or so?

@ shamsia, mapledreams, canadianwife , newdelhi2011, kuku, siva, bali and all other friends..

Thank you so much for your all supports...
Yes i am not going to wait for a single day to send my pp...
I think my wife paid all fees together around 1040$...

But i have a doubt for pcc.. I submited one from my permant residence place( Rajkot, gujarat) but i dont know if they need one from where i was studied for 4 year (pune. Maharastra ) ...???

Do what Ajy457 said in his posts. If your entire time period including those 4 years are mentioned in your PCC, you wouldnt need another one. If not, you better take the 1st train to puna. ;)
In otherwords, they don't wanna see any gap in your PCC since you were 18.
Good luck

Everybody is busy checking their email and ecase 100 times a day. j/k.
Did you make a big shopping list for your hubby? :D

@ajay

PCC is country specific...No matter where all you lived in in India, you only need one PCC...

Now there are 2 ways to get PCC...one is from your local police station which would be your location specific. And second is from regional passport office, which would be a country specific. you can submit either of them. No need to get PCC from different cities you have lived.

In our case, we have submitted both. one from wife's current address and one from passport office. Actually we did not even know that we could get PCC from passport office. But my wife went to a regional passport office to add my name in the passport and someone advised to apply for PCC at the same time as he seemed to be aware of the immigration process. So she did just for the sac of applying as she was already there and only had to fill out one form. Surprisingly she got PCC along with the passport within 15 days.

a friend of mine whose wife have lived in 5-6 different cities after she was 18. But they submitted a PCC from her current address where she was living. And they are living happily together at present. ;) ;)

Congrats Mapledreams.

Did your status change from "Application received" to "In process", before it changed to "DM"??

@ ajy457

Hubby is still waiting for the passport, hopefully, it'll arrive today, and then he wil shop, not for himself, but for me ;)

Hi ajy457!

I do not think travel history has too much of an impact as long as you have always maintained a legal status in the countries you have lived in. Some people overstay their visit/student/work visas and hence face a problem. As long as the travel history was legit I do not think it will delay the case for long. Btw, I have a travel history to Saudi Arabia from 1985 t0 2010, and I do not think it had too much of an impact on my case.

Lot of travel history means,
lot of places to check for them.

This is my guess. For more than 6 months they want PCC
but for less than 6 months maybe they have a "super dooper computer"
in which they can find what that person did in that country...

Like shoplifting! bar fight..!! punching the police in the nose..!!!
stealing police car..!!!!! (..ND Motto: All applicants possible ex-offenders..!!)

It is all about protecting their "rear" so that no one blames them
why didnt you (CIC) check properly?

@ amira_mais
sit back and watch the movie till intermission
(intermission = Approval.)

...baaang..!!! ....wait for the next scene..

That's awesome sivathegreat. I really like what you said about seeing other girls and saying wow but then immediately thinking about the reality. That's awesome. Also in my opinion, we sometimes tend to take our spouses for granted and I believe that is something we need to work on. I sometimes do that but trying my best to get rid of that habit.

yes ajay,
sometimes the comfort given by my wife..I become too complacent...
that she will not kick me...(that was the deal..at any point of time no saying "..I am going or leaving.."..)
my wife is too nice and understanding!

Hey guys, I was at work today and now so exhausted!!!! Did I miss much?? I'll go back and read the comments tomorrow.
Anyway, Kuku, new Delhi, Siva, gwal, yug and anyone else waiting- hope you guys get your DM soon!!!

Just thought I would drop in for a mi rye, since I know you guys missed me.

kuku yaar they have stopped accepting police certs from police stations in punjab & some other states ..implies that they know indian police issues false certs. so its always gud to send from passport office (i sent both)
