One of my friend has a big ring on his passport cover

Hahahaha!! :D
You wont believe this, but one of my Dad's friend's passport was sent for the exit/re-entry stamp in Saudi Arabia and didnt come back for 5 months (usually takes 2-3 days to get that done). The poor guy paid loads of money to 'connections' for getting it and they all came back saying that it's nowhere to be found. Finally, he found a 'connection' who could take him inside the office where passports were kept. A bunch of passports, including his, were being used as a support for a rickety old table :P

Yes Kuku that is a possibility..I had rushed in to apply TRV for the last time before they ask PP.
As I said in one of my previous post my situation here is tricky...and I believe some moments in life cannot be recreated...
like first you meet your spouse..your fist wedding anniversary..etc etc..

I will break the egg tomorrow,

Hey Siva,

Best of luck to ya! We are all curious about the outcome to this TRV.
What was the reason you put on there that you will return to India, or your reason for visiting?

Have you tried for the TRV before, but got rejected?

I live in the US, and I thought about doing a TRV as well.

Thanks Siva. I see your sponsorship was approved on Nov 30 and believe you are in line to receive your PPR pretty soon (either today or early next week). Good Luck with that.

Hi Ajay,

Congratualtions, how are you sending the passport to new delhi. Are we supposed to send it with return envelope . Please do let me know.

Thanks

Hey Sazid,
We are planning to send the Passport to New Delhi by either DHL or DTDC. I'm not planning on sending the return envelope as it was not mentioned in the letter that we received.
Just for info, our file number starts with an F.
Thanks again everyone and Good Luck,
Ajay

You are so right Siva, some moments in life are unforgettable. I really hope we all bask in the glory of the moment when our spouses land for the first time in Canada and we are either travelling with them or at the airport receiving them. Wow, that will be a moment that we can never forget and will probably be quite a moment. Hoping this happens to everyone soon.

Quick question for clarification. These travels that occurred after submitting your application, were they after your interview (aug 2011)? As per your timeline looks like you submitted your passport in July 2011 so I am guessing you traveled to another country before July 2011 (?). Did you traveled anywhere before (not necessarily with your husband) and did you declare that? Plus the additional things, birthday celebrations insurance policies etc did they take place after your interview?

The travel will come up in your background check and if it took place before your interview they might question why it wasnt shared during the interview esp if the appendix C (i think its appendix C) form you submitted stated no travel history. BC check is what causes delays in processing as it takes the most time, and if you have traveled to another country than that just adds additional time to it as they have to verify info from that country too. BC could take a month to few months depending on the history.

I did travel to US with my husband prior to July 2011(these were declared). The additional things like birthday celebrations took place before my interview but after my submission of papers. Though I had carried these evidences to the interview, the officer did not even look at them. He had certain questions he was fixated on and post that he dismissed me. My husband did accompany me to the interview but the officer did not ask him any question and just asked him to wait outside.
As for other travels (before my marriage) yes i did declare them in my application ]
