Yup my friend, ND received the PP on May 9th..with my luck i don expect to see any change in ecas...i hope she will just get the PP back and we can finally get our heads off ND.

From the day they've got the your passport in this case 9th May, I hope they give you the good news by and I hope your ecas changes too by lets say Victoria Day long weekend, I just a good feeling on that part. and I expect ND to do that for you! Nuff waiting!!

I hope they send my PPR this weeek, also I had my mother in law talk to the post man, and ask him how ofthen he receives the MAILS in bathes from his office, and he said about after every 7 days... dammmm thats slow, so they had their last batch on Friday, so they won't have the other batch until Friday / Saturday.... so it sucks that I have to wait 7 days for the batch to come :S

Does anyone know how often ND update Application status ? ex. once a month, once a week..so on.

Mississauga Center started my app on Application on April 13th, 2011 as status Decision Made

ND received my application as of April 29th, 2011 as status saying APPLICATION RECEIVED

..and now its May 15, 2011..

no answer from ND yet for my hubby in India..

Welcome to the que...just some facts about CHC ND and you can hope you fall under the fast categories listed below.
For the last 4-5 months these are some stats abt CHC ND...

applicants have received Visa within 60 days in ND
applicants have waited for more than 4 months for a PPR
applicants have waited for more than 2 months for Visa after PPR
applicants have waited for more than 3 months for Visa after PPR
applicants have waited for more than 4 months for Visa after PPR
applicants have waited for more than 5 months for Visa after PPR

I hope every new member falls under a fast one, all the best.
Ecas is updated all 7 days in a week, you never know.

It should go well. But they may take longer to do BC since you lived in Australia for a long time, you need to be prepared for that (I hope they don't do that though).

Other than that, if your case is straight forward you should be OK. All the best

Actually i dont think they should spend too much of time on BC either... i had pretty much the same situation and have already got the visa so hopefully it shouldnt take too long....

The MP's office just contacted me and they sent me the reply from CHC ND. She told me BC is next...no idea how this works and how long it's gonna take from here...
I am still not 100% relieved but at least it gives me some hope. So... MP's can still inquire status for us which is good news to applicants who have unusual delays.
Charmz/Jaskiran - i would suggest you contact your MP as it is close to 6 months & they usually get a reply back from CHC ND about the outcome.

The MP's office just contacted me and they sent me the reply from CHC ND. She told me BC is next...no idea how this works and how long it's gonna take from here...
I am still not 100% relieved but at least it gives me some hope. So... MP's can still inquire status for us which is good news to applicants who have unusual delays.

Congrats Fprince. The fact that the case officer has approved it in principle is a positive sign. Also, things are moving forward now...should not be that much longer. I really hope you get your passport with a visa soon.

Hey Congratulations!!! Time to party. This is definitely good development. I feel so happy and relieved for you.

Approved in principle is good. Background check will be cleared, don't worry about that only the timing part. But if you think about it, the uncertaintities associated with dealing with CHC-New Delhi have now reduced a lot.
