Hey Fprince,

Do you recall how long Delhi took to respond to your CSE inquiry? Wondering what process is quicker, a CSE inquiy or a CAIPS request. Thnx bro.

For both my CSE's it took 15-20 days..usually they do respond in that time frame...................

BUT it depends on what you ask them and the their usual 6 month deadline...or they wont answer and ignore it..

CSE.................

Having read a lot of experiences on CSE I will outline the most common replies which I have read about & been a part of...again this is not exactly what will happen if you send a CSE but is an outline of what has happened in the past with this ND office....

Most common CSE and replies from ND

No file # or PPR – 1 month in ND
“We have not received file yet. and usual cut,copy,paste crap about protocols..” most of the time the email will not be replied


No file # or PPR – 2 months in ND
“ We are doing background check or we have not received file yet. and usual cut,copy,paste crap about protocols..” most of the time the email will not be replied

No file # or PPR – 3 months in ND
Your file number is #xxxxxxxxx and usual cut,copy,paste crap about protocols..
To view processing times visit www.YourFateIsWithND.gc.ca
( they won't mention why PPR was not sent...)

PP sent and no status update in ECAS – 1-2-3 Months
We confirm that we received your Passport...
background check B.S
To view processing times visit www.I_Have_Your_Passport_4_Months.gc.ca and usual cut,copy,paste crap about protocols

My file is in ND for the last 3-4 months and no PPR yet ( very very rare )
You are required to send your Passport immediately to this office
{We forgot but won't accept the fact ( maybe your city does not have a postman..blah blah blah )}

My timeline is about to be 6 months and I am worried. I have sent my passport long time ago..
We confirm that we received your Passport...
Dear sir/madame..your application is finalized and you will receive a letter about the outcome soon... ( wake up call for a forgotten case )

To summarize, it all depends on what you ask them...if you send a CSE without a proper reason you can expect any answer like the one posted above...


And FYI, contacting the MP will get you the same answer in a very polite and diplomatic way..useless.
MP's office will get you a reply if your CSE doesnt but the outcome would be the same...from my exp..the MP's office will only listen when your case is about 6 months/close to it/unexpected events....
some members still think a MP can speed up your case, no they cant..they can only stir things up..its ND vs YOU vs Fate

Yes it was "In Process" since 28th April....

Hopefully decision made is visa granted.. would come to know when pp received..

OMG OMG OMG..............Just got home from the temple and checked my e-CAS. DECISION MADE

My wife had sent a case specific inquiry 5 days ago.

My timeline is as follows:

Application Filed: February 7, 2011
Sponsorship Approved: March 3, 2011
Delhi received file: March 14, 2011
PP request: March 24, 2011; PP request received: March 30, 2011; Delhi received pp: April 6, 2011
In Process status: March 30, 2011
Decision Made: May 15, 2011

Now just gotta cross fingers and hope it is good news..........Won't get 2 excited until wife has passport in hand with visa.

Does anyone know how often ND update Application status ? ex. once a month, once a week..so on.

Mississauga Center started my app on Application on April 13th, 2011 as status Decision Made

ND received my application as of April 29th, 2011 as status saying APPLICATION RECEIVED

..and now its May 15, 2011..

no answer from ND yet for my hubby in India..
