The MP's office just contacted me and they sent me the reply from CHC ND. She told me BC is next...no idea how this works and how long it's gonna take from here...
I am still not 100% relieved but at least it gives me some hope. So... MP's can still inquire status for us which is good news to applicants who have unusual delays.
Charmz/Jaskiran - i would suggest you contact your MP as it is close to 6 months & they usually get a reply back from CHC ND about the outcome.

"Please be advised that this application was received at our office on 04Jan11. The case officer has approved the application in principle. Currently we are awaiting the passport of the applicant.

OMG OMG OMG..............Just got home from the temple and checked my e-CAS. DECISION MADE

My wife had sent a case specific inquiry 5 days ago.

My timeline is as follows:

Application Filed: February 7, 2011
Sponsorship Approved: March 3, 2011
Delhi received file: March 14, 2011
PP request: March 24, 2011; PP request received: March 30, 2011; Delhi received pp: April 6, 2011
In Process status: March 30, 2011
Decision Made: May 15, 2011

Does anyone know how often ND update Application status ? ex. once a month, once a week..so on.

Mississauga Center started my app on Application on April 13th, 2011 as status Decision Made

ND received my application as of April 29th, 2011 as status saying APPLICATION RECEIVED

..and now its May 15, 2011..

no answer from ND yet for my hubby in India..

there is no fix timeline but i have seen it happening on tuesday and sunday (indian time)

You should contact your MP, you are two weeks shy of 6 months. Yours is an excellent example of contacting them. You could also send a case specific enquiry and see where you get. They need some sort of reminder.

I got an email from CHC ND ------


Following an initial review, this application was queued for interview and is currently awaiting its turn for scheduling, based on the date it was received. Interviews are normally conducted at the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi. Once an interview date is scheduled, the applicant will receive an appointment/interview letter approximately four to six weeks before interview.

We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children. Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office


Hope they will schedule my interview soon...........

Did you send them a CSE or did they just send you an email?
ND does crazy things in crazy ways.

They usually get the interviews done in months 2-3 in ND..this is what the website states.
