Just take an Interpreter with you and put a 500 Rs note on the desk for them and they will hand over your passport with a red rose on it

Also take your ID with you, if needed talk to the Supervisor of the Post Office , called - head Postmaster.

Rest all should be cool, they don't send the registered letter back right away, just go in the morning as soon as Post office opens and celebrate the lunch together after you get the Visa !

Hello brave girl, just wondering if they specify anything in the letter which tells you that as a sponsor you can accompany your husband..if you go there would it be an interview 2gether or in 2 seperate rooms?
and when is your flight..you should be excited ;D

They state in the letter that I must be available by phone at the same time. If I am in Delhi, I should go with him to interview. However, I may not be interviewed. It says nothing about the setup per se. My flight is the 23rd through Newark, getting to Delhi 24th night.

Also, by phone they will absolutely refuse to discuss any details of a specific file, even the stupid details.

@ Gagan, well first it still says application received, medical received line has gone missing and it still saysthe word "null" in front of my husband's name. I have never seen anyone else who had this. When I asked the embassy abt it, they wouldnt tell me anything which worried me.

Your PPR date is that the date on PPR or the day you got it? If it is the day you got it, then what is the date on your PPR, or vice versa?

Also your FILE TRANSFER date is that the date the New Delhi Office go your file (The one that i stated on ECAS)

My dates are the dates that were on letters or from correspondence from the Delhi office. They are actually dates, not received dates.

My file was transfered on Feb 1, received by ND on Feb 7,2011. PPR letter was dated Feb 17 received on Feb 23,2011. I dont know why it's not showing "In process" now...I am bit worried now..really wanted to break that 69 days record ....still 3 days to go.

i am tracking the file for my cousin sister also...she got a letter on feb 28 to send her pp and on mar 9 to send some additional docs...she sent the whole package to chc new delhi on mar 12/11...her e-cas status still shows "application received"...i dont think that they often update the online system...

just my 2 cents....

Lama21, when your ecas status changes to 'app received" it will say we receieved your file on xxxxx "
line 2 usually says " medicals have been receieved"
This is the AOR, these days they do not send out letters for AOR, but you never know...
The only fu$ked up part with online AOR Is that you wont have a file number until you receive your PPR or request for documents...in my case, i still don have a file number cos no letters received from chc nd till date..
