I have tried it they wont discuss files over the phone with anyone.

Im not Fprince but my file was transferred on Jan 6th and has always just said "application received" never gone to "in process"

i guess u were the one whose application said "we received you null....." or was it someone else?

as i mentioned in my previous posts that i am tracking the case for my cousin and she had sent her pp and addition docs on mar 12/11 and chc neceived the docs on mar 14/11...her status says "application received" and havent gone to "in process" yet....

Hello brave girl, just wondering if they specify anything in the letter which tells you that as a sponsor you can accompany your husband..if you go there would it be an interview 2gether or in 2 seperate rooms?

My wife said end of last week...I didnt ask her the dates but I'm assuming it took 3 -4 days....But yours and mine may not have been posted at the same time....

Also It doesnt matter Chennai is further than Bangalore because they are different routes. They are handled differently. They give the document only when you or someone in the address sign it gives it...

My hubby and I are so worried now. We just had bad news but hope its sorted out tomorrow & we see the visa tomorrow. Guys, my hubby's passport was delivered yesterday but to our old address. The security guards at our old gated community told us today. It's worse only because my hubby went to the post office yesterday and today and was told they dont have registered mail for us. What is this about? My hubby said it was hard to communicate with the post man though cuz he doesnt speak hindi well. And no english at all. And my husband doesnt speak the language here as he's just on work assignment. Anyways we have to get it tomorrow but what if post man says again he doesnt have it.... what does he mean he doesnt have it...the security guard tried to sign but was told by the post man that he could not and the post man left with our pkg. So what does he mean he doesnt have it and he said he doesnt remember going yesterday with registered mail to that gated community. My husband is going to go back to the post office and speak to the post man again this time telling him the guard told us you came and have him do a complete search for it. We are worried sick about it tonight. If it goes back to the embassy we wont see it for some time. It could expire by then. We got medical done too early last yr so after our file transfered to Delhi hubby got new ones done to avoid any delays in case our file took long to process and in case they asked us for new ones... and the embassy did confrm receipt of the news we sent in in February but we have no idea what medicals theyll use to base our visa expiry date on. Worse what if our pkg gets lost going frm here to Delh.

I dont understand the embassy ...Shame on them because we sent in 4 requests to update our address since January. And they confirmed receipt of one of those and even updated Ecas once then changed our address back to the old one then changed it to new one later then finally took off our address all together on ecas..showing no address for us. We made an inquiry into why and no one responded. Anyways hope we can talk to the post man tomorrow and even bring our old security guard with us to the post office. The post man better tke it seriously and look into it..There must be a place they keep registered mail that goes back to them.

Just take an Interpreter with you and put a 500 Rs note on the desk for them and they will hand over your passport with a red rose on it

Also take your ID with you, if needed talk to the Supervisor of the Post Office , called - head Postmaster.

Rest all should be cool, they don't send the registered letter back right away, just go in the morning as soon as Post office opens and celebrate the lunch together after you get the Visa !
