Yes, you will receive your Confirmation of PR upon landing and then your PR card roughly 6-8 weeks later. If you are coming to Ontario, your health card will be in the next 3 month......

I am new on this forum. I have been following up with other peoples testimonies and it is obvious that there is favour on everyone here on this forum. Congratulations once again Iwodamihi. That's really good news. I applied April this year and my file was sent to Accra office June ending. I did my medical upfront in March and I have paid all requested fees as well. My wife lives in canada and she is my sponsor. We have not heard anything from Accra since June 25th when the file was sent there. Please when do we expect to hear from them. My regards to Obinibini, ghanaboy, obrinicococ and lots of much wonderful people on this forum. God bless you all.

Hi, so I'm new on here and found a lot of helpful people. Does anyone know how close you are when it says medicals received? My application was received June 6 in Mississauga and I got a letter July 31 saying I met sponsorship requirements.My husband and I send his medical and police clearance with the application. He is in Nigeria I am in Canada . I looked at the status today it says under his guide line application received medical received. Someone told me this was close to the end. Is that possible? It's so fast, I too have paid all the fees upfront. Any feedback would be great.

NKT, These are all good indicators. Whether or not the request for interview is another thing. As long as you application is fully complete you should be good. They have been working with 4-6 months turn around time in ACCRA it feels like

That COPR is a very important piece of paper. I recommend it be kept somewhere secure for safe keeping

You need not worry about this at your stage NKT. This form will be given to the sponsored person once they land in Canada.
It will be used for everything including Pension eligibility date to obtaining a SIN card.

Regarding the next steps.
How does one get the Confirmation of Permanent Residence IMM5292?
Is that given upon landing at the airport. It seems to be the single most important document once the passport has been stamped with the visa.

Any information would be welcome.

That's strange. I received my copr along with stamped passports. There are two copies: cic and immigrant's copy. Cic would take one at poe while you keep the other.

Yes it is that fast.provided you did as you said . it takes abt 6 months from when you submitted your application.

Ayayombo you may be correct. I was going off what I have read. Seems to be some conflicting information

I will apologise for any misunderstanding here,i will urge that we all live in one accord,only unity can keep us going,if we aren't united,someone will post a question and no one will reply,everybody here have been helpful in one way or the other,nobody here is a cic worker,we all are learning so please let us all learn,sooner than later more active members will be shrinking after visa that am sure,and am very optimistic that by day breaks,we shall all be receiving a passport request for visa,thank you all for your cooperation.

That's right baby. We are in this forum bcoz your application is in Ghana not in the Philippines besides you don't speak Philippine language so how can you understand? We don't need a step by step procedure in the forum, we only want encouragement and boost up our hopes. It hurts me to see obronibini saying to my husband "wrong" bcoz my husband is not wrong in anyway. He said what he knew. I second demotion to what my husband Ghanaboy is saying.

My application was filled in April2014 and application on review june. Sponsorship eligibility approved june, medical received june, and file transfreerd to Acccra Ghana June 24. I look foward to sharing good new with all you wonderful people too. I wish all of us still expecting to hear from Accra, good news and God speed.
