I think you are right Obronibibi, we should try and find a way to send it in. I think we may be allowed to send a representative to the police station in accra. Once the doc is sent I would hope they could match it quickly. I guess in worse case scenario, if they didn't receive it for some reason we could always send another once the request. I believe we will also need one for the uk because my husband has now lived there for almost a year. If you are near the police station in accra and have a chance to ask, I would really like that. Thank you. I hope you receive your passport very soon so you can make your way to Canada -how exciting!

with Dhl you can't go wrong . You will track it Untill it get there and see who signed for it . They will acknowledge receiving it and match it up , you need to state the date of birth, file number or uci number . I will let you know as soon as I find out anything . Am sure it will be ok . If they go through your file and there is anything missing they will email you to bring send them and it can take sometime to get the report unless you are willing to "tip" to get it faster. So let see what I find out and then you can take it from there ..

the forum is for everybody and it up to you if you wanna stay or leave . Your husband offers suggestions that are helpful . We learn from each other on here everyday . Am glad you said your path is different , so we all just need to balance things to suit questions without mixing it up. I don't think Ghanaboy should leave, it hasn't come to that. me and him talk on phone often and he understands , so we are cool let just not mix things up. My husband went for his interview today. He said they asked his a lot of questions about himself and nothing about our relationship. They did not even look at what he submitted. They asked for his police clearance and he said he already submitted but it had expired(since he submitted in 2012 when I was being processed for PR here). They informed him that they will send him a request for another one later. He is on his way back to Nigeria.....

However, I just received the email below:

Dear ************:YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR(S) READY TO BE ISSUED, IF THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN YOUR FAMILY CONFIGURATION. IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE BEFORE PROCEEDING. PASSPORT(S) You are asked to submit your passport(s) and documentation BY COURIER within 15 days. We recommend DHL courier, using a pre-paid return envelope.........

Please help me to praise Gos, its been a 12 year journey for us. Although I just sent in for his sponsorship in February, I have been in Canada for 12 years alone with our kids.....

wow congrats ! I thought it was in the 15 , am glad it all went well , your husband will be happy about the email . Hopefully they get his passport soon

Congrats dear. Now its just left to submit the passport for VISA processing. Its good that they have honoured his older police clearance certificate. Or will you still submit the up to date one?

Thanks, I thought it was the 15th too I have been very confused lately but thanks God it is all over now. He has not even seen the email because he is still at Accra Airport...

Hello guys,

Regarding the next steps.
How does one get the Confirmation of Permanent Residence IMM5292?
Is that given upon landing at the airport. It seems to be the single most important document once the passport has been stamped with the visa.

Any information would be welcome.
