make sure you send your medical ASAP and make all payments upfront if you haven't , dint wait untill they request something .after that I think your wife will have to get pr before they finalize your application. That's the same case of Ghanaboy . They applied in 2012 I think, so you will have to wait a bit. Whiles you wait you can request the note to see what is happening and what note they've written abt your application . When did she apply? you need medicals and police report..If you just applied I think you have to just chill and prayAmaechidez said:@ ayayombo, yes just two documents which my wife has sent last week. thanks for the reply.
the reason why i dnt recomend medical upfront in such situations is that,it takes long before application gets to accra and medicals would have expired already,its expensive tooObronibini said:make sure you send your medical ASAP and make all payments upfront if you haven't , dint wait untill they request something .after that I think your wife will have to get pr before they finalize your application. when did u apply sirAmaechidez said:I humbly want the house to advise me on what to do. My wife is a caregiver in canada and has included me and our baby in her application for permanent resident . First week of August, 2014 cic canada sent her the mail below;
You cannot become a permanent resident until you and your family members have passed the medicals and background checks.
Our office in Accra will be contacting your family members. In the meantime if you are in contact with your family members please encourage them to comply with all requests as their compliance will help to ensure timely processing of your application.
Please Note:
The information requested above must be received at this office within 90 days of the date of this letter. If you are unable to submit all of the requested documents, you must inform us within 90 days of the date of this letter, explaining what you are not able to provide and why. Failure to inform us may result in the refusal of your application.
Please my question is this: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE ACCRA WILL CONTACT ME? I KEEP CHECKING MY MAIL BUT NOTHING YET AND MY WIFE HAS COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENT JUST WAITING FOR MY MEDICAL RESULT.
now Medicals expiry can be extended by the ov do that's not anything to worry abt and besides it may be worth it since it may save you timeGhanaboy said:the reason why i dnt recomend medical upfront in such situations is that,it takes long before application gets to accra and medicals would have expired already,its expensive too
After sending the application,i advice that anything you send should be upon request,u can't be sure if they have started ur processing,if medicals is done today,cic will deceive it in just 2working days so nothing to worry about,if my case was similar to u guys,i would be watching women under 20 team in Toronto by now waiting for u guys,but dnt worry u will hear from them by the middle of SeptObrunicoco said:Obronibini, we are doing well. Just waiting patiently and praying to have everything sorted by the end of October. I am hoping we have sufficient proof of returning to Canada. I included a university admissions letter for a masters program and also a notification of a government of canada scholarship. I hope they see that I wouldn't want to pass up on that money and stay elsewhere.
I'm still a bit torn, we haven't done the police check yet because my husband is still in the UK and it is difficult to get the Ghana one without the request letter if you are not there in person. If we wait for them to ask for it, then send it back ASAP (hubby will be back in ghana in a month) how long do you think it would delay the application? Maybe we should just find a way to get that police check and send it in now. I wish I had a better idea of how the process worked ( eg. do they start on a new application and not work on yours until they are done even if they receive the documents)
I'm so happy to see so much great news on here and for all those who contribute on a regular basis, thank you - can't wait for more updates.
wrong ..that can delay the process. We got passport request quick because we did everything upfront. It time consuming if they have to ask for the documents etc. it saves time to do it all upfront . They seem to be opening applications after three months. It took about 4 months and 17 days from sending our application for us to get passport request . If we had waited on anything we won't have gotten passport request but document request or payments. Medicals expiry dates can now be extended so there's nothing to worry about at all. @ obronicoco try to see if there's a way to do it upfront . Call the police CID department and tell them waiting for it to be requested can delay your application and if they can do something about it. So that you send in someone to do it for you. I will be around there this week I will pass by quickly to talk to them about it and I will keep you posted on what they say .Ghanaboy said:After sending the application,i advice that anything you send should be upon request,u can't be sure if they have started ur processing,if medicals is done today,cic will deceive it in just 2working days so nothing to worry about,if my case was similar to u guys,i would be watching women under 20 team in Toronto by now waiting for u guys,but dnt worry u will hear from them by the middle of Sept
U responded too quickly without reading my comments sir,i never mentioned that it doesn't delay processing,all i said was it is better to send a doc only upon request because she has submitted her application long before now is its no longer upfront as u always claim,yes upfront is ideal but her case is different ,i encouraged her that even if cic request for medicals,and she does it today ,they will receive it in short momentObronibini said:wrong ..that can delay the process. I read through your comment clearly and I only made my point so chill . Her case is family class and it can be done and sent so far as she has her uci number . All they will do is match it to the application . So it not better to wait till it requested. If you are talking about spousal then I don't think so. I know you guys are applying through live in care giver which I don't know how it works but with spousal it best to always send everything upfront or as soon as posible ones your file is in accra . You don't have to wait at all..and oh I don't know about always the "claiming " thing. Suggesting to people to always do medical upfront isn't wrong and sorry if have a problem with that.. But I've learnt it the right thing to go . Sorry if I've suggested anything to you or your husband that didn't go ok with you.. Sorry if I've said anything to upset you. I only try to help . And I only responded because her post was addressed to me . The only way her case is different is her husband is not physically present to go to the CID office for his criminal records right? If yes that's why I suggested she try to find a way around it. I even offered to pass by quickly to inquire for her .or is she applying through care giver like you guys ? What make her case different ?Ghanaboy said:U responded too quickly without reading my comments sir,i never mentioned that it doesn't delay processing,all i said was it is better to send a doc only upon request because she has submitted her application long before now is its no longer upfront as u always claim,yes upfront is ideal but her case is different ,i encouraged her that even if cic request for medicals,and she does it today ,they will receive it in short moment
Is that still wrong?
yeah but coco is not in the same procedure as you . She's going through spousal. Your husband already told me that so am aware maybe you guys can find more answers in the care givers forum if you think anything I say to you is wrong . Maybe you are in the wrong forum. I saw the email you sent me , I haven't said you guys are doing anything wrong. You post here for advice and I only suggested you order a note . With spousal all that is better done upfront . Let not confuse each other .Ghanaboy said:Thanks for your concerns about us obronibini. We are also glad that we are part of this very informative forum. Unfortunately, we have different processing procedure.
I agree with you. The best thing is to send everything you have upfront. I got a document request for that reason, though all the requested information has been sent, it will no doubt add another month to the processing of my application.Obronibini said:I read through your comment clearly and I only made my point so chill .
