Yaar waisey they are just giving us 30 days to send update documents. I have seen people who are waiting for MR for many months after sending update. Allah knows how and when they will send MR's. Sometimes very confusing.

I know man...its dumb....they give 30 days for updated docs+PCC (which is too less of a time, should be 60 days, considering if someone has to get PCC from abroad)....and give 60 days for medical (which is done way earlier than 60 days, probably in 10 days)...kya karein...maula jutt hein LVO . And sending updated docs doesn't mean u ll get medical in one month....people have been waiting for 6-7 month now after sending updated docs...chalo--lets see...wait n see game hai....

Dear 501,

I was discussing your case (regarding obtaining UAE PCC) with a friend of mine. He had also obtained his UAE PCC some time back for the same purpose. He was suggesting:

1) Get your fingerprint taken / certified with your local police in Philipines
2) Take the certified fingerprints to UAE Embassy / Consulate in Philipines
3) Get it Signed by them and send the same document to your friend in UAE
4) Since Fingerprint is mandatory for UAE PCC, your friend can present this document to the UAE police and they even have a provision to send it to you by Mail/Courier (You will have to pay the shipment fee)!!!
(Sometimes, things depend on the mood of the officer there in UAE. So, ask your friend if it is not happening in the first try, wait a few more hours and try again when duty shifts)

Hope it works for you, than travelling to UAE only for giving your fingerprint!!!

About medical:

One of my friends/senior forum members, MI-2, got his medical done last week from Islamabad IOM. They gave him appointment after 3 days. And cost was 3650 rupees (for one person). Usual tests, .....blood, urine, chest x-ray.... He said it was a local doctor and he asked him regular questions like , do u smoke, do u drink, did u or anyone in family have TB, what do u do, why r u going to canada, etc etc. There were about 6 families there...only immigration related patients, no regular patients....some for canada, some for UK....the whole medical thing took 3 hours.

I'm impressed waisay with IOM. I was expecting it ll have more rush and will give long appointments...Since someone who got medicals done in June from Hameed Lateef hospital lahore told me they gave him appointment of 8 days, and took 6 hours for the whole thing...(Coz they had immigration patients+regular patients too)

Just thought of sharing this info.

Got our medicals done this morning!!! Everything went well by the grace of God. I called up the clinic yesterday evening and requested for an appointment and the gentleman was kind enough to give a slot today at 8:30 AM itself. It took only an hour at the clinic for me, wife and baby's medical.

OMG...What a rip off!!! Just the standard medical checkups, but since it is for Immigration Purposes, the cost - OMR.100 per person( USD $ 260 approx)!!! For child below 3, they gave a discount - OMR.75(USD $ 195 approx) Only!!! Only two places(3 out of 4 Panel Doctors are from the same Polyclinic) in Oman and they both charge the same as we have no other alternative...What a lucrative business?!? I think I should discontinue my plans to Canada and open a clinic specialized in Immigration Medicals...

Hmmm but eagerness they must have, they must be curious to announce new policy.. Secondly, if they give 90 days now, it means jan end and then medical.... So isn't it a stretch ..... In my opinion, MR is clubed with updated docs if they don't need anything to issue MR... If any update is needed, they ask for docs first.... Plz correct me if am wrong

I also received requests for couple of my documents to be updated along with MR. But now, overall, I feel that they will be taking a decision on all pending cases. Since CIC is concentrating heavily on clearing backlogs as they need not entertain any new applications coming in, things will be processed faster now resulting in MRs for all those with and without wait letters...This is what I feel.

Indirectly m also in wait holder letters i think, without Waite letter.

dear v all from KSA need ur help in understanding point # 3 of ur above post PCC from KSA

as u must b aware that for KSA PCC v need stamped forms from canadian consulate Riyadh, have ur consultant already received from there or not. if yes then he must have received ur doc update letter and PCC forms from cansdian consulate Riyadh and only letter muzt have been sent from LVO TO CONSULATE IN RIYADH
