No they don't give any special preference to people applied through consultants. It could be a coincidence. But buckle up as plane it about to take of with bundle of MR letters

Agree with Eemmoo1. For CIC, it doesn't matter if you have applied directly or through a consultant. And as a person who is using a consultant, from my personal experience, I feel, I would have been better off without a consultant. Many of my friends never used a consultant and they have all managed to get things smoothly. I am happy to say that I got more information about Canadian Immigration from this Forum Members than my consultant.

Even it doesn't matter to CIC from which country you are applying. It is all based on how much back log they have and in which VO your application is processed. This is my personal observation and opinion. I have noted that VOs in Manila, New Delhi processes more number of applications within the same time frame compared to London. This could be because of various other parameters like the diversity of applicants and issues arising because of such a diversity are more in LVO compared to VOs addressing just one or two country applications...If I applied via New Delhi VO, they would have had more thorough back ground checks (not that there is an issue) which would have been more grueling experience.

thank you ASK, I did get a pcc but it was in January and I exit UAE on sept. I also did inform my consultant about going home for they are the one who should inform VO about it. yes some of my friends are helping me right now but running out of time. Going back to UAE for a visit is expensive but i am thinking about it too. Thanks again for the input.

Thank you Cuccoo0. For some strange reasons, I was not able to access this forum since last night till now, though all other websites were accessible normally. So, sorry for the late response. I collected the physical copies of the documents CIC had sent from my agent yesterday. I am just listing down what they had requested below:

1) New application for Permanent Residence IMM0008 form for the principal applicant
2) New Schedule A Background/Declaration form for yourself and each family member over the age of 18
3) New Additional Family Information Form IMM5406 for yourself ad each family member over the age of 18
4)Medical Examination
5)Right of Permanent Residence Fee.Visit the Visas and Immigration section of www.UnitedKingdom.gc.ca and click on Fees and Payment Options.
6)Updated copies of the bio-page of the passport for child
7)Updated Original Police Certificates for you and each of your dependents that is 18 years old or more from each country that you or your dependents have lived in for 6 months or more. If you already submitted police certificates for the countries that you and your dependents have lived in since the date you submitted your application. We require the following : Principal Applicant - Sultanate of Oman , Spouse/Common-Law Partner - UAE
8) 2 recent photographs of everyone
9) Other: IMM5562E

These infos were tick marked from a generic form of A4 size
Along with this paper were attached another A4 printout containing 'Instructions for arranging medical examinations'
And most important, a medical report sheet for each of my family member with their photo. (My agent told me some horror stories of mixing up of photos for some other clients where male becomes female and kids photo get interchanged, etc etc!!! - not always though)

Hope this information was useful for those are about to receive their medicals - on what to expect in a normal scenario.

I have downloaded all the forms but confused about one i.e.

New Appliction for Permanent Residence IMM0008 from the Principal Applicant

Now there are two IMM0008 on the website i.e.
One i mentioned above
The other one is IMM0008 (schedule 3)

Which one to use any ideas?

In addition, When filling the Travel history like all of us have provided history while sending full documents to certain time. Should this be redone right from the beginning or should we fill in the one after sending full docs (i think this is more logical)

I would really appreciate your feed back.
