My husband called today and they won't change the date for when I'm there so he will be on his own. I don't know I that's good or bad. He's not scared at all. Brave guy. I'm freaking lol.

Gotta agree with this, I was completely shocked when I saw it change to "In Progress" I was expecting 4+ months before I would hear anything, it does feel quite random how they select which ones to process first maybe mine fell off a shelf and floated onto someones desk! Hopefully yours aint too far behind MCarter

LOL, i hope my wife's application also falls off a shelf into an Officer's "working desk" :D

Me too :'( vienna has 12 months for the processing time and in the Vienna thread I can see that this is true.... Or even longer!!! :'( next year I will be here in this thread all by myself, talking to no one :(

Hey, don't worry. We will all stay in touch for sure. New Delhi has 11 months but we re hoping to get it sooner than that. Hungary, your application might not take the full year.

hi :) we sent my application on 4th july and they
recived on16th july and my canadian wife got sonsership
approvel on 15th aug. and file been transferd to dehli. on 18th sept. they requested my passport and police clearence certificate and I sent it both on 25th sep. and they recived on 26th sep.
we have not done the medical yet. our immigiration lawyer told us to wait till visa office ask it from us cose according to him medical has a validity and its good to send when visa office ask it. so its aovid to get expire. well thats what he said. so we are waiting to be asked to send medical.
hope all good for every one.

To Bodhyogi,
I don't know why the lawyer would tell you to wait for medicals until the visa office asked for it. I would think that it would delay the processing further if they had to write to you to ask for medicals and it might take a few weeks for them to receive the medicals at New Delhi. As far as I know, most people sent their medicals along with their applications because the checklist also included the medicals. You could have also sent it with your passport.

Then again, if the CIC-M didn't return your application when they checked for missing paperwork, it might be ok. Well, sometimes the lawyer knows more details but sometimes they don't. So double check with another lawyer too. NDVO is fast at asking for passports but kinda slow at asking for other missing documents so good luck with your application.
