Hi everyone! I am back .

I just want to say that I am happy for my fellow July Applicants that are having a fast progress on their applications. It just gives me a lot of hope and excitement that our application will be processed soon.

And for all of us who are still waiting, let's keep our hopes up. It's a relief that the strike is over now and that in a few months we will receive passports with our shining visas stamped on it.

I'd like to quote a phrase from 1 of my favorite movies--- "All is well."

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the welcome!

Apparently the interview was great, she asked him questions about how we met, who made the first move, what kind of work I do, my interests and so on. She asked how my family felt about it all. He said she was nice and they were joking around She also commented on our application how it was the most straight forward one she has dealt with. I think that is what made the difference, a clear application. I know we had everything in order, readable, good photos and convincing because we are truly in LOVE!!It seems that she was getting a feel for us and to be sure this is a real realtionship and not about the papers. She told him there and then she was satisfied with everything and ' you'll be joining your wife for Christmas'! She told him she'll let him know when his visa is ready, once the criminal check is finished and after that he'll be able to come to me! No time line, just anxiously checking everyday.
Our case was straight forward, we got married April this year in ALG, applied outland. I am working out of the country, now in Europe but plan to return home to PEI next month. Just waiting for the news and we will book and fly together as soon as we know!!

London isn't quick, some people just get lucky, others not so much. I think they just pull them randomly out of a hat. I've still heard nothing. ECAS still shows as application received as of July 8th.

Then I think I should re-word my previous post.... All VO's should have an officer as efficient as that one! And he/she should train the others too.
I still don't understand why they take so long or don't update ECAS like it should. Mine still shows as "recieved" as well.

I joke with my husband that we should be allowed to send fruit baskets to our officer in hopes of faster processing LOL.

Gotta agree with this, I was completely shocked when I saw it change to "In Progress" I was expecting 4+ months before I would hear anything, it does feel quite random how they select which ones to process first maybe mine fell off a shelf and floated onto someones desk! Hopefully yours aint too far behind MCarter

Nope.. No updates so far... Just waiting... Waiting... Time almost stands still yet flies by.

All visa offices are trying to get rid of backlogs so nobody knows how long it will take to get to July applications.

Well at least I hope that all of us get the visa and not get rejected. I guess if we knew the outcome for sure or knew exactly when we would get the results of our applications, the wait would be bearable a little more.

Not knowing what is going on is very frustrating. If only they kept updating us every month.
