Medical call was sent on 29 december 2016 i think (never received by my parents)
After long wait and contact to CIC they resent the medical request and then waited for a month after the medicals to get the passports back. So the total process roughly 6 months. But this is extraordinary circumstances. They screwed up with our application.

We sent the passports together with the application on 09 december since it was a paper based applciation

Hi everyone

I am planning to submit a family application including my parents and my sibling together.

Please help me figure out a few questions:

My parents travel back and forth to Kuwait, as my father works there but is ready to retire soon.


Is it ok if they still apply from Pakistan? As they are travelling for a few weeks to Kuwait in July and would be back by the end of month.


Do they need to apply from their permanent address (Pakistan) or do they need to apply from their temporary address (Kuwait)?

If they apply from Pakistan, my sibling would be able to apply together as a family application.


Please let me know. Would really appreciate it

What's the update on your visa?

Where and how did you give the biometrics? Do they ask you to come to Islamabad office?

How about medical ? How did it happen upfront?

I am going to apply within the next couple of days for my parents in Islamabad (online application).

Salam everyone.

I want to apply for supervisa for my father (my mother is not alive) but there is no intention to visit Canada anytime soon.
The reason I want to get supervisa now is because my siblings in Pakistan are planning to move abroad and I am concerned that it can cause home ties problem for my father in future. He just got his 10 year valid passport so I think it is good time to apply.

I have two questions:

1- Is it possible to cancel insurance and get full or partial refund after supervisa is granted? please recommend a company
2- Is it possible to get pro-rated refund if the stay for less than a year?
