Hi all,

Applying for super visa for my parents. Couple of doubts?
1. Should the period of visit/stay in Canada be always greater than 6 months?
2. What should I mention for purpose of travel? [Please let me know if you have any reference]
3. Is notice of assessment compulsory? I didn't file my taxes yet. Planning to put T4, employment letter, bank balance statement and recent pay stubs.
4. We live in Toronto. Can anyone suggest good personally known insurance provider in GTA for super visa for my parents? Would any insurance provider cover routine checkups - My mother is a diabetes patient.

Thanks,

1. Should the period of visit/stay in Canada be always greater than 6 months? It depends on your requirement of stay, it can be maximum up to 2 years without exit.
2. What should I mention for purpose of travel? [Please let me know if you have any reference] Missing us, any birthday, any festival that you want to celebrate together
3. Is notice of assessment compulsory? I didn't file my taxes yet. Planning to put T4, employment letter, bank balance statement and recent pay stubs. You need to prove your income, NOA is just an option to prove that. T4, Employment letter , bank statement , pay stubs are good enough
4. We live in Toronto. Can anyone suggest good personally known insurance provider in GTA for super visa for my parents? Would any insurance provider cover routine checkups - My mother is a diabetes patient. Choose any broker you will get quite competitive rate. I recently did via Punjab Insurance

Thanks,
Good Luck

Hello Guys

Need some inform regarding Super Visa

I have submitted my documents in Exprees Entry and waiting for PR.

Would like to ask if I migrate to Canada after how long I can apply a super visa for my dad considering I meet the minimum wage requirements?

Thnx in advance

Hello folks!

I'm planning to apply for Super Visa for both of my parents.

Should I create a CIC account for one of my parent and apply through it or can I use my existing account?

Also, should I fill out both forms 'IMM 5476E : USE OF A REPRESENTATIVE' and 'IMM 5713E : Use of a Family Member Representative for Online Applications' or just the later one is sufficient?

Please advise. Thanks.

Folks,

My mother is in Canada on a regular visitor's visa. I wanted to apply for supervisa for her within Canada. Is it possible or she has to go back to home country?
I also did eligibility check online and it actually does accept the the supervisa application if I select Canada as current country of residence for my mother but I am still not sure if this is possible or not.
Please advise seniors and anyone who have had the similar experience.
Regards

As far I know, it's not possible. You can't apply/renew Super Visa from within Canada.

However, you can apply to extend her stay. And if you meet Super Visa criteria and provide all required docs, she may be granted 2-year extension.

There is no official waiting period.

Having said so, most Overseas Visa Offices will want to see your yearly T4 or NOA as proof of income. So, you may have to wait 1 - 2 years depending on when you come and how quickly you find an employment in Canada.

To elaborate my point, for example, you land in Canada in July. You find a job and start working from Sept. So, you work only for 4 months in that year and the total income earned may not be sufficient enough to invite your dad although your estimated yearly income is over the income limit. Employer usually provides T4 in Jan/Feb and one normally gets NOA from CRA in May of the following year.

T4 = Statement of Remuneration Paid
NOA = Notice of Assessment
CRA = Canada Revenue Agency

Thanks! Did you get insurance quote via online or could you please refer any agent?

when applying for super visa, on form IMM 5227, it doesn't say anywhere about single entry or multiple entry. is that something we tell the officer at the visa office? i did select the 'super visa' on the forum. anyone?

i found this from cic site ' Is the parent and grandparent super visa a multi-entry visa?

Yes, the super visa is a multi-entry visa. It allows multiple entries for up to 10 years. " so i guess that answers my question.

You don't have to mention it anywhere. It's upto visa officer
