Hi all, just checking if anyone here being in a similar situation. My parents have a regular visitor visa while their super visa application is in progress as per above timeline. Can they travel to Canada while super visa application is still in progress? If yes and we get the final results while they are here in Canada, would it be possible to get the passports stamped in Canada. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thank you !!
Hi,

I am exactly in the same situation and thinking the same, I hope some can guide us. there was a thread a year before, where someone's father got supervisa when he is in Canada , refer the following link.

I have a urgent question if someone could reply.

I applied for my Dad supervisa last year (it took 13 months to get medical). I finally got the passport request and it says
• Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
• Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport.
• Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
• Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport.

My dad passport is expiring in 2025. I applied for the visa with the intention that it will be good for 10 years but as the letter states that they cannot issue a visa beyond passport expiry.

My question is , if i renew my dad's passport for 10 years validity, is it ok to do it despite the orignal application i filled last year would have the old passport with (2025 validity). Can i simply renew passport (2 days to get new passport) and send new passport for visa as a response to passport request. or there is a chance of rejection that they might say "Passport sent doesnt match the passport provided with orignal application"?

Please help

Thanks for sharing this related thread. If my parents don’t get PPR this or next week, I’m thinking to call IRCC to get some direction here for their travel, if I can get through.

As long as the visa hasn't been approved/completed yet, you can update them with any new passport information.

i think you should have renewed when application was in process. Then send passport copy via webform to replace old one. Post PPR i dont know if you could do, because counterfoils would all be present which may be linked to current passport..

The PPR letter says "DECISION" has been made.

This forum has helped me a lot throughout this journey so here is my post to help in return.

Details:
  1. My father had a visitor visa that expires in Aug 10 2021
  2. I applied for Supervisa in Feb 2021 when he was in India, however, due to Biometrics suspension, the case basically went on hold.
  3. On July 18 2021, he reached Canada using his existing Visitor visa instead of waiting for Supervisa given IRCC had a huge backlog. He successfully landed in Canada with few days left for visitor visa expiry. Keep in mind, even if the Visa expires - the entry is granted for 6 months (unless otherwise told or stamped on passport) - Read

  4. July 29, 2021 - My father was able to complete biometrics within Canada at one of the Designated Service Canada offices
    1. Biometrics got updated on the portal the same day however it took 2 more days for it to update in the "Details about your application status" section.
  5. August 3, 2021 - We received a request for "Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E)"
    1. My father was able to complete his medicals with one of Panel Physician
  6. August 19, 2021 - Doctor's office confirmed the submission of medicals to IRCC
  7. August 20, 2021 - Using Webform, I explained and attached a cover letter explaining IRCC about submission of Biometrics/Medicals within Canada. I further explained about my father's US Travel history and how he should be granted Supervisa within Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds
  8. August 30, 2021 - PPR: Passport Request and the same day we sent passport to CPC Ottawa
  9. Unfortunately, my father had a brain stroke and could not live to see his Supervisa
  10. September 15, 2021 - Passport received from CPC Ottawa with Supervisa PG-1 Counterfoil
Hi
I think you could help me because CIC is giving me mixed replies.
My mum has visitor visa and she is landing in Canada on January 16,2022. Her supervisa application was applied on Nov 27,2021 and is in process. So, do I need to inform CIC that she is inside Canada and can I send a passport to visa office in Canada once PPR is issued?
Thank you in advance

Hi Guys,

Need some help.
I applied for my father super visa from India on 22nd oct 2021 on new IRCC portal.

We did Medical upfront.
Got biometric request on 23rd Oct 2021.
Biometrics given on 29th Oct 2021.
The problem now is that the biometric status is shown in Applicant summary (under the UCI number).

I can see below information in IRCC portal
  • Biometrics number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Date of biometrics enrolment: October 29, 2021
  • Expiry date: October 29, 2031

BUT I still see the message
Biometrics
  • We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.
I dont know what should I do.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
