There was on update on my parents application on 29Dec2021. they withdrew the old application in GC key and eligibility review started for both in new IRCC portal on 29Dec2021. Hoping something i will hear soon..

Hi, my mother got passport request Jan 6th (2 months after applying), while the estimated processing time was more than 6 months for our home country. The problem is she is in France now and returning home on Feb 19th, and IRCC requested to get a passport in 30 days. Anyone had such experience? What should we do to not get rejected? Is it possible to extend deadline? Thank you!

Hello everyone, I applied for my mother's supervisa on 14 march 2021 via GC key.
Submitted medical via webform on 5 dec - medical passed on 17 Dec. Online status shows " We are processing your application. We will send you a msg if there is any update........"
The status is same since application lodged, seems that it is stuck.
Should I apply again ? If yes, weather through GC key or new portal?
Your replies would be appreciated.

Just received PPR for supervisa. Applied via a new portal since my old gckey application was stuck for over a year.

Medical Request Nov 29, 2021
Medical done Dec 14, 2021
Medical Pass Dec 20, 2021
Biometric was done a year ago for regular visitor visa applications.

Congrats. I would like to apply for super visa for my mom. I applied for visitor visa through old portal in march 2020 and still waiting.

Now can I apply for super visa from new portal?
I see that there is an option to apply for visitor or super visa, do they give super visa automatically based on the dates(more than 6 months) or do we need to select any option for super visa?
In the new portal it is asking ' Tell us more about what you'll do in Canada. Include dates. ' Can we just say that she wants to spend time with grandchildren.
Did you provide any property documents or notarized documents to prove that they will return back
What are the general/valid reasons for visit by super visa.
Please guide all the required and mandatory documents which are needed for super visa visit?
Do you need to buy upfront medical insurance. please help

Applied on _dec-23rd,2021 with upfront medical
Asked for detailed medical - Nov-25th-2021,
Submitted again Nov-29th,2021
Medical passed for both - Dec-15,2021
after that no update. is this normal,
even the eligibility check is not started yet.
as per CIC website process time is 52 days. I have submitted webform but a general automated reply.
what I can do further. please suggest.

Hi all, just checking if anyone here being in a similar situation. My parents have a regular visitor visa while their super visa application is in progress as per above timeline. Can they travel to Canada while super visa application is still in progress? If yes and we get the final results while they are here in Canada, would it be possible to get the passports stamped in Canada. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thank you !!

Mine fathers had passed on 28Oct2021, but then his eligibility never started until 29Dec2021. Moms medical status was not even updated. this was al in old portal(gc key), but on 29Dec2021 they withdrew the application and eligibility review started for both in new IRCC portal. We just need to wait and this patience is killing

Dont worry they are processing at backend, you should get an update soon. But currently the processing times are not normal, so you can expect more delay like 1-2 months.. but this is normal..

My parents timelines are same like yours. They applied 25Mar2021. I reapplied on 25Oct2021 via new IRCC portal.. But your medical status got updated in Dec2021, so they are working, recommend to wait and follow up via webforms. if no progress by this month , then re-apply

Yes i think you can request extension of passport submission timeline with clear explanation. I have heard similar cases and they do provide, but am not sure of the process. Send an webform , also send email to your country respective office.
