Hello ,my name is Sam.
I'm over 18 and i applied for a study visa. Actually i got my admission last year but couldn't apply due to covid and delayed processing time so i completed my first year online. In my application, i included a letter that my school gave me stating that i need to be on campus this year fall. Actually no problems with the application so far, my medicals and biometrics have gone through so as my bank statements. I want to ask if an application could still like be refused at this stage and also, what could be delaying the decision of the permit and stamping of the passport? I also want to know if the letter which i mentioned above would like make them prioritize my application?
In some rare situation, you can get refused after passing medical exams. Some even get refused after PPR, but again its not that common. Now, in your situation you just said medical, and bank statements have gone through, I suppose its upfront medical exams and not the one requested by the VO at certain stage of your application. Provided you advised IRCC thet you will be required to attend in class sessions this fall, you will hear from them most likely this month. I advised applicant not to take ONLINE classes before your SP is approved. Wish you luck

About my medicals, its like the one requested when you want to apply through NSE for faster processing. I was actually wandering if I was still considered for the NSE stream because in my IELTs, there was a band In which I got 5.5 but the rest were above 6.0(which they said was the leastone should get for each band). Do you perhaps know if like my application is still on the NSE?

Unfortunately I am not aware about that, but @Omofar and other Nigerians may comment on that.

I’m a February applicant, my eligibility review started in June and I did my upfront medicals on the 21st of July, it got updated to pass on the 27th of July prior to that I already ordered for my gcm notes and it came on the 29th of July.

my pre assessment indicates that funds provided appear adequate, family appears well established and requirements appear met.

while my eligibility indicates Recommend passed.
criminality:passed-bio.
info sharing: complete .
But my medicals is blank on my GCm but I feel maybe because I ordered for my gcm before my upfront medicals.

my Question is with this above assessment what are my chances of being approved?

I got admission in University of Regina on April and the admission letter is to expire on 1 January 2022.

I don't know that my sponsor's(my eldest brother) POF has to be 10m for at least four months (money to stay in account for four months).

He owns a registered company in Nigeria , now since May we applied for loan we got it July and we wish to transfer it to his personal account bit by bit.

During may we thought that statement of account would be like other countries where you ask people to send u money then send it back the next day till we were told the money has to stay for 4months( which no business man can leave such money in the account for long).

Now we got the loan and if we say it should stay for 4months i.eAugust to November. Can Canada study visa be processed in one month December?

What is your suggestion about my case?

Good morning everyone, please I applied for a study permit since last year October, did my biometrics in October too, got an NSE in November , I was able to submit the ielt but delayed the Mybankstatement, I got a medical request in February, submitted in March , it reflected on my status March 16, from March to May , I didn’t get any update , May 26th I was asked to repay my Application fee and Biometrics fee in my application, I did and resubmitted it the next day, since then I have heard anything, my question now is , is this normal? Why the delay and unnecessary stress and anxiety? Please who else is going through this or has been delayed too this long? Is there a chance of getting an approval? Because my admission is going to expire this September. How do I go about it and what do I do? Please help me

Hello,

Thank you for your well wishes and visiting this thread. Wishing you a happy new year too.

1. The Canadian embassy is sporadic, unpredictable. There is no ''good'' time to apply. Just apply meet the requirements and hope for the best. It is no longer an application, its now more of a lottery. If you put in a strong application at a time when Canada is regulating student entry your application can be refused. If you put in just a normal application at a time when Canada is keen on getting students in your application will be approved. If you application is just normal, nothing spectacular, but is attended to by a happy-go-lucky VO, you will get your visa approved, if you put in a strong application and it encounters a crazy, depressed or ''newbie'' VO, then it will be refused. So many factors determine the outcome of the application. So there is nothing like a good time to apply, just apply.

2. Your medical report is valid for 12 months.

Hope this helps?

All the best.

Cheers

Hi Omofar,

How are you? Thanks for the superb advise. I re-applied this year and I have received the request for my passport, I am nearly done with second semester of taking my classes online now.

Many thanks and I am really grateful.

Have a good one!

Hi!

I am no authority on this, perhaps you could try sending a very polite mail to the Nairobi and London addresses explaining how delicate your situation is and your timeline restriction. I pray it works.

Cheers!
