i've had my eligibility completed for almost 3 weeks now but the background check is in progress :/

its so annoying. everything is completed and cleared and my application timeline is faster as well, its only been 5 weeks, but it seems like the background check is the one thats going to drag it.

I don’t know why actually I thought that if you didn’t travel abroad it won’t take much time but it seems like there are no known rules .

there is no way to evaluate whats goes on in the visa officers mind.

I just got my BVL and PPR yesterday out of the blue! I dropped my passport today at vfs and hopefully I get my passport in two weeks or less!

Oh i thought that they delay some PPRs to prevent people from traveling early. Mine in July

Timeline:
for my 1st application:
I applied October 5th 2022,
biometrics October 10th,
application rejected + BVL January 6th (processing time was 13 weeks back then).

2nd (current application):
applied April 15
eligibility review started + medical request May 14
medical passed May 23
now waiting
eligibility is completed on the tracker, background verification in process

what is BVL mean ?

It means biometrics validation letter. A letter where they say biometrics are valid and is thought to be a good indicator as to the decision they will eventually come up with.

Thats a fantastic idea
