It states 5 weeks on the website but I’m currently 10 weeks and one day gone since my submission.. I’m applying from Nigeria please

I got a response to my web form inquiry today and it reads thus;

In response to your email enquiry below, kindly note that this application is still under active review by our office. At the moment, we are not in a position to give a clear indication of when we anticipate finalizing this application.



However, we wish to inform you that our office is doing the necessary to ensure that this application is processed and finalised within the shortest timeframe possible.

Does this means I should get a final decision soon

I applied on the 16th of June

Would so much appreciate any reply I get from anyone that has experienced the same thing or we’re in the same boat

It is just a generic response. Everyone gets the same one if you ask about timelines.

Actually that is fast for a webform. Usually takes 30 days and person just got a generic response anyways.

If classes start next week then consider deferring because still need passport stamped.

I get response to webforms in less than 7working days. Not sure how you submit your webforms for it to take 30days. if you really need to submit a webform, do it well and get a timely response.

So your webform was to just ask about status too? Most take 30 days for a full response not just generic. Most are generic. Has your permit been approved now with your webform?

Do you understand how many webforms IRCC on a daily basis? It is impossible for IRCC to keep up.

Processing from Nigeria often takes close to 6 months. Maybe the quick refusals are leading to the 6 week processing time but most IRCC processing times are not actual true processing times most experience.

My tracker shows my application was updated today but I’m yet to see any changes on my application status.. what could this implies
