The current processing time in Abu Dhabi is 12 months
But it depend
Some people get it before 12 months and some have to wait longer
Each case is different

For me, i have sent my wife application in April 2015 and until now we haven't heard back from them
It has been 14 months and we are still waiting

So it depend on your case

thanks and my case submit in my lawyer from Canada and he said probably 6 months will be clear but spouse cases one category family sponsorship I don't understand your words coz all cases same because Abu Dhabi visa office is very slow process.

hello can you tell me before Canadian PM said spouse time process is reduce and spouse met the family in three month but now what happening was the law passed to the immigration or not my wife was eligible in two week but here vise office wait decision.

your application is in Abu Dhabi Visa office or London Visa office ?
if you r a Pakistani National is should be LVO .

Hello zohaib007 - There is no way a lawyer can confirm approval in 6 months. The family sponsorship takes time, and it takes more time when papers are sent across to ADVO ( Abu Dhabi )

The bill for the new law is still in motion and has not yet passed - this will also take time as there is a HUGE back log for application(s) everywhere including new immigrants / refugee / family sponsorships.

You will loose your mind if you keep checking your status everyday. I definitely understand what you are going through and it is not going to be easy. Once your file reaches ADVO - they will determine if they need additional information or not. If they do not need any other information they will start processing for Criminal/Background and Security Checks.

You have to be patient brother, it will take an emotional toll but you have to have faith and insha'Allah all will be done: For us we were always on skype talking to each other - try to plan some trips to go see your wife. You can save the trips photographs and documents and update ADVO that you have an ongoing relationship with your spouse.

Trying to gage the response from the local MP's and if they are making any effort to move the application forward - Do your share your thoughts and experience.

For me it has been half the time. I have had everything submitted upfront and received all the necessary acknowledgements and believe that my application is being processed in Abu Dhabi as the AOR stated.

Obviously being a November 2015 Applicant and now entering the summer season, it already feels like a long time since the application was initially submitted. It is tough to be away from your Spouse not to mention the strain of not being able to determine the date for an outcome, which puts one in a touch spot to handle situations at hand such as- renewing a Tenancy Contract, an Employment Contract, sell or not sell the car, hold on the the useful things or let them go etc. It isn't a very settling situation and time in life to be in.

I have asked my consultant, my representative, to order to the ATI Notes to give us an idea of where we're at. We were informed that it would take a month or so till we have the notes. Today completes 62 days since it has been applied for and we still don't have them. Very frustrating!

May I ask you Impresso, and to all other members of this forum please feel free to share your comments, when you do suggest the Background and or Security checks should or would have started? And is this is the most important and time consuming of it all? And finally, I haven't left the UAE since 2009, not once. Shouldn't a background/Security check for the likes of me be fairly quicker?
