Yup! You'll only be required to appear in person if you get called for an interview (very rare, only for complicated cases). Although towards the end of the application, you will be asked to send in your passport, so you can choose to send it via mail, go in person to hand it to them personally or do what I did- send it to an authorized representative (a relative) so they can bring it to the office in person. I'm also from the Philippines but I'm not residing there (I'm in the US). My application took about 10 months from submission to getting my CoPR. I was not asked for interview and all correspondence to/from CIC were through email.

That was very clear and informative!

Sooner or later we'll start the process, were just gathering some necessary documents.
Does it matter ba kung may dependent yung sponsor ko? Meron syang isang anak, she went there 8monts pregnant, she was not married to that baby's father. Citizen n ung bata don as per canadian law. And as of now shes working 5days a week 5hrs per day sa Tim Hortons, but later on maghealtcare na sya kapapasa lng nya sa HCA exams. Magmatter b ang financial status nya saka ung sakin kasi di ganong kataas sahod ko dito sa Dubai.

Cheers

Hello. :)

Anybody who knows how to get LTO Certificate from LTO? :) LTO Certificate of Good Driving (if such a thing exists) so we can apply for a driver's license in Canada :)

Ano po sasabihin and may fee po ba?

Thank you :)

Are you still in Manila? I already got mine last month. Punta ka lang LTO Main office sa QC with a copy of your ID and copy ng official receipt ng license mo. Fill-up ka form then pay 100 pesos. May ibigay sayo na Claim Stub then you will gave to go to DFA Macapagal after a week and pick up your Authenticated LTO Certificate. Bayad ka ulit ng 100 pagpunta mo sa DFA.

Hmm we didn't have any dependents so I can't comment on if there are income requirements if the dependent is already a Canadian citizen. She can call the CIC call center to clarify but I found this link on the website that has the schedule of income requirements for dependents who are being sponsored http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp

Spouse sponsorship without dependents doesn't have any income requirements as long as the sponsor is not bankrupt, have criminal history or is on welfare support from the government (there is a more comprehensive list on the CIC website for the sponsor requirements).

When I attended PDOS at CFO last March, we were told that International license is not really needed. Because you can actually use your Philippine License to drive. Upon arrival, your license is good up to 60-90 days, depending on which province in Canada you are going. Sa Toronto kasi up to 60 days lang. After that, you will still need to apply for local driver's license. The advantage of having Authenticated Driver's License Certificate is for you to get some credits when you apply for local driver's license in Canada. Otherwise, you will start as beginner. Be advised though that even if you get credits but you don't pass the exam, you may still be required to take the 1st level exam.

dala ka extra pera for additional exams kung may gagawin man sila :)

i went to St. Luke last monday for retake of medical exam.

aside from medical fee of 8,000 - additional 1,300 for vaccine if no vaccine taken yet. and 495 for women for pregnancy test before vaccine.

almost 10k na rin nagastos ko nung monday.

Yup sa St. Lukes BGC ako nagretake ng medical exam.
Yung vaccine ay measles vaccine - Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) 0.5 Subcutaneosly
7953 yung exact amount ng medical fee
I'm not sure kung mandatory yung PT sa mga married.
