Hello..newbie here..
I have few questions about spousal sponsorship..and i don't know where to post this..
My Fianće just went to Canada this April 26,2016 and he is a PR, may I ask:
1. How long does his PR Card to be delivered?
2.Can he go back here in the Philippines immediately after he get his PR Card? bec. we're planning to get married.
I still have questions..
----

Hello! PR will arrive within 2 months, could be quicker.
And yes, he can fly back to Pinas once he gets his PR. Same case tayo, he got his PR last July and he cane back right after to marry me :)
after we get married, can he apply for spousal sponsorship immediately? my required year ba na pgstay sa canada pra makapagsponsor? balak kc nming mgpakasal this august kung loloobin ng Diyos..

hi there.. how & where did you find out about the new processing time in the Philippines? every time I go to cic website, the processing time is always 17months & what annoys me is that you can't even search for a specific VO to look into... but this is a great info ;D

Try to Google CIC Status pag nag open choose "Check your application status". Pag naopen mo un may question na " what did u apply for?" Then choose family sponsorship.. Tas pag na open mo un makikita mo ung naka link na CHECK PROCESSING TIME. 12 months na. Sana hnd n magbago

CIC has just sent us an email requesting a police clearance for my Japanese wife from the Philippines as she lived there for year. The email stated that "the documents must be received in our office within 30 days from the date of this letter" and then said "Please reply directly to this email and put your application number in the title".

We're a little concerned about being able to submit the documents within the 30 days as my wife must travel to Tokyo to do the clearance paperwork at the Philippines embassy in Japan (which she can only do this coming Friday as she needs to take time off work to travel there) where this paperwork then gets sent to the Philippines to get processed, and then sent back to us in Japan. We're really not sure if this can get done within the 30-day time frame given (although we've seen that the turnaround time could be as fast as 2 weeks), so we wrote back to CIC (at the email address provided) explaining our case. We immediately got an auto-reply saying that they cannot process our email right away and that "the turnaround time for a response is of 10 business days." We also wrote to CIC as a case specific enquiry explaining the same thing.

CIC also says in the email that "If we do not receive a response within the time allotted to you from the date of this notice, a decision will be made based on the information on your file, which could result in the refusal of your application." By writing to them and explaining our situation, does this count as a "response", or is the "response" sending a reply with the documents requested.

Just a little confused about all of this. Any thoughts or suggestions?

TL;DR: Will our application get tossed in the bin if we don't send requested police documents within the required timeframe for a response, or is any kind of response considered a "response" so nothing happens to our application (minus a delay in processing)?

@sevensmallwoods

I suggest you start working with the police clearance because this document is very important and crucial to the decision of the application.

Before we submitted our application we included a letter explaining about the posibility of not getting a police clearance (means it is impossible for me to get it) because the country i have worked for almost 2yrs doesnt have an embassy that issue a police certificate and the certificate can only be requested by a representative or by personally getting it (by going back to the country), another thing is that the country I have been (Palau) is not in the lists of countries in the cic "how to get a police clearance"

But instead of consideration and understanding, we still received an e-mail asking us to submit the police clearance within 30days period or it can be the reason our application is rejected. If I am going back to Palau, I will have to spend not less than $2k for the plane and accommodation because the processing time is 3-5days. What we did is, I looked for someone I might know that might still be in Palau and get the police clearance as my representative. I went on fb, twitter, my old address books and other networking sites to look forsomebody I might know that is in Palau. Were just lucky to find one person that really made all of it possible, but still we spent almost 1k to process everything and to hasten the process.

My point is, start as soon as possible and look for all possible way to get it and submit on time. The reply you received says already that your app might be rejected if you cannot submit the requested docs on time. It took me 3weeks to get a hand of that document and personally went to manila and hand deliver by messenger thru lbc. It was like an amazing race.

Hello Friends! This is my first time posting sa forum na ito. With all the reading I did, I found all of them so helpful kaya I decided to join na din. :) So pardon me for my long explanations, I still need to learn the abbreviations that everyone uses.

My husband and I got married sa Philippines last August 2015 and here is (currently) our timeline sa application namin:

November 10, 2015 - Application received by CIC (Medical results also included)
January 7, 2016 - Started processing sponsorship application
January 18, 2016 - Received letter via snail mail that I have met eligible requirements to sponsor and that my husband's application will be forwarded to the visa office in Manila for processing.(Although at the moment, in process pa din ang status sa On-Line Services whenever I check)
February 2, 2016 - CIC started processing my husband's application
April 15, 2016 - E-mail (with letter attached) was received by my husband from the Visa office in Manila that a file has been created for his application

So far hanggang dito palang po kami.

"We sent you correspondence on April 15, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

It's nice to be a part of this forum :D

Hi Everyone!

Mag-uumpisa pa lang kasi kami ng asawa ko mag-ayos nung proof of relationship namin and can anyone giude kung pwede Black and White printed on a bond paper? (together with all the required captions).

Thank you so much!

Anna
