help please..

we got a letter asking for my husband's passport (im the sponsor) and he has around 30 days to respond. my husband's not in manila now (and im in canada). kaya lang we are getting married in manila sa Jan so he needs his passport to go to manila for our wedding. pano kaya yun kasi after 30 days yung wedding namin...help..
also if he gives his passport i think it would be months pa before he gets it back d b? hopefully with the visa..

is your husband also abroad? if yes how did he apply in the Philippines? he should apply where he is right now, so you dont have to worry anything like this.
when you apply for Canada you should tell everything that is true they will definitely question your husband why he cant give his PP and if they will detect that he is abroad you MAY get a lil trouble with that....
for me this is not a good situation to be in...lets get more advice to our fellow....maybe some people in this forum have the same situation. it's either advice Embassy what is going on or husband is going home earlier than the due date of his flight...

you are under recorded transaction so no worry, your bank will contact you and ask any suspected transaction without your knowledge.... it's actually normal to Canada because most people used credit cards or debit rather than cash... good luck and congrats!!!

Thanks Earal... just like what my husband told me... I think they just took a pre-authorization, by the time package arrived they will ask me to sign the receipt or the merchant copy for them to collect the money from the bank. Ive done that couple of times here in Canada and there was no problem at all. Here in Canada its easy to track when your card got scammed.

Hindi ba cya makakauwi right away pra ipasa yung passport? Try nya kyang maginquire sa Phil Consul kung san bansa cya ngayon... if they can issue such travel document aside from Passport pra makauwi cya. So pede nya maipasa right away ang passport nya( kya lang sa part ng embassy bka mlaman na he is out of the country) mag attach ka nlang ng letter about don pero kung declare nmn sa application na wala cya sa Manila no need for the letter. Im also here in Canada, but chose CIC-Manila to process my Sponsorship,ngyon paso na kc work permit ko and I cant apply for another visa dahil asa manila na passport ko, so CIC here advised me if ever hindi bumalik agad Passport ko ask dw ako sa Phil Consul ng ibang travel document pra mkalabas ako ng bansa or apply ng visa.
Bka may ibang way pa... Wait ka lang iba pang post d2..

Just now! ginising ako ng tawag ng DHL Calgary may package dw ako from Manila Immigration, Kinuha nila Credicard info ko to pay $88.00 para madeliver d2 sa place ko on Tuesday.. Gosh Im so happy kahit d ko pa sure kung positive or deny ang laman ng package ko heheheheh... goodluck nlng....... =)

Hello guys ..I have another concern regarding that Personal History form..

How did u filled up that form? like did u include ur personal history since the age of 18 or included last 10 years of history..

I am 22 so how should I have filled that form? I didnt provided info from my last 10 years instead I filled this form giving information since my age 18 was that alright?

Please give your valuable suggestion...

hello to everyone there! I hope you can help me to clear some notions regarding on how will I sponsor my girlfriend to come with me to Canada if I am already there..

Currently, my mother is sponsoring me and my father under the Care-giver live-in Program..We are almost in the last stage of the processing..My mom already received her permanent resident card and last september, we already send our passports..So now, we are just waiting for our stamped visas..

My family promised me to help me to sponsor my girlfriend when I get there..They said that it will take 6 months before I can get her and I must marry her here in the Philippines..

I would like to ask you guys if you have any idea on how the processing goes in this kind of sponsorship and if possible, you can give me a time line of processing..

can she work there in Canada while we are processing my sponsorship for her?

Sorry guys, I can't wait too much time to be with my girlfriend when I already leave. I want to be with her asap.

for starters please check the website of canadian immigration www.cic.gc.ca everything you want to know about spousal sponsorship is there.
second be sure that you were not in a common law relationship with your girlfriend during the processing of your visa through LC2 (live in caregiver program) to avoid complications
she can work in Canada as soon as she gets her permanent visa as a sponsored spouse

Hi, I need some advice..

Currently, I am working here in Abu Dhabi and I am going to the Phils to marry my Canadian citizen fiance, who is coming in January too. He is going to submit our papers immediately after he came back to Canada and have my papers processed in Manila. Our plan is for me to come back to Abu Dhabi while waiting for my papers to be processed because processing in Abu Dhabi takes a lot longer.

My question is, can I put my country of residence as UAE even if my papers will be processed in Manila? or should I put Phils, since I will come back once my papers are forwarded in Manila and they request for my passport.

Can I come back here in Abu Dhabi to work for a month or two? Or is it better if I stay in the Phils while waiting for the papers?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

you are right...they will let you sign something when they give you the package...and bank will give you back the money if it's scam. i already experienced that but bank gave me back my money it just take 2months for further investigation...
in my case somebody widraw $500 in my access card but bank detected it. i dont even know about that, the bank was the one who told me something mysterious is happening in my access card. feels so great that i am protected with my bank.

thanks kikay08...yeah yan din inisip ko, pina ask ko si husband kung nag iissue nga ba ng such things as temporary passport etc yung consul dun,...isa pa d pa red yung passport ng husband ko...naku..pero i dont think important yun? ako nga when i applied as skilled green pa rin ang na submit ko kahit sinabi na red (tigas ng ulo haha)...buti inadvise ka ng CIC, pano ka nagtanong sa kanila, did you call or email? how? thanks thanks

hi lee_rockz18, oo naka receive ng letter yung husband ko just yesterday ng passport request pero madami pang ibang requirements (addtl family info forms, nso forms)..yung iba feeling ko d nya maibigay kasi nag work din sya sa ibang bansa, so he was asked to get documents from there in 30 days.. mukhang d kaya, so wala din..tapos mukhang yung passport , mukhang mahirapan din maibigay in 30 days though working on it...yes regular mail tapos may email din si husband all yesterday..

baka by this week meron ka na rin? nagcheck ka na ba today sa ecas? pray na lang tau...iba iba talaga timing ata..yung iba i guess kahit may passport request na months pa rin bago naibgay yung visa so i guess ganun talaga..

Schedule 1 Background Declaration question 5 asks you your current country of residence - answer is UAE, the succeeding question asks you your current status in that country - are you on a working visa? this is granting if you want to go back to Abu Dhabi

Before you leave Abu Dhabi get your police clearance, it`s such a pain to get a police clearance in soem countries

Now going back to your question about going back to Abu Dhabi to work, this is your decision. Because you will be asked in the Application of Permanent Residence form for your mailing address and residential address.

If you`re coming back to the Philippines to get married this January be prepared to stay a bit longer for your Medical, change of new passport and before DFA can even issue you a new one with your married name you need your NCSO marriage contract and CFO but it`s okey if you retain your maiden name and your old passport as long as it is still valid for 18 months or more, NCSO copy of your marriage certificate, NBI.

Fill up the forms with your spouse, attach all evidence, pay all the fees.

I don`t think there`s any problem going back to Abu Dhabi for work for a month or two, i`m guessing that you want to finish your contract. But then the final decision is with you and what works in your situation.

i stand corrected, Read Question 11 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm0008_1e.pdf It says from the age of 18. Read question 15 it says from the age of 18.
