Hi guys newbie here, August 2015 applicant, but always a regular reader in this thread. Im sponsoring my hubby and we already sent our application August 21, but without the medical requirements yet, Im just noticing in this thread na mostly ay upfront medical exam? Should I ask him to go do the upfront medical and mail it to CIC? Or should I just wait for CIC's response requesting the medical requirement? Which is better po? Thanks in advance for the help! Excited much lang, now palang hindi na makahintay. Hehe

Ako din hindi sinabay medical ang plan nalang namin is to wait for the request nalang.

Hello. I just wanted to share my timeline and hope it will give some comfort to other people waiting for news.

--JUNE APPLICANT--

Up-front medical: May, 2015
Application filed: June 15, 2015
Application received: June 18, 2015
In Process: July 22, 2015
Approved to Sponsor: August 24, 2015
File Transfer: September 02, 2015 (Medical results have been received too)
Passport Req: ???
Visa received: ???
Landed: ???

Now waiting for visa office to request for passport. I still remember getting our very first e-mail from the CIC and watching our Client Application Status go from "received" to "in process". We get butterflies in our stomach knowing that we get one step closer to being together. Sending the application alone was very nerve-wracking for us because we were so worried that we might forget including documents and get delayed or worse, rejected.

I miss my family very much. I hope we all have bright futures ahead of us all.

Hi! I actually had the Upfront medical exam even before sending the application. Kapagnagpa-exam kasi the service provider na mismo magsesend ng results sa CIC. They usually send it 2 weeks after the testing and we sent our application only after a month. Kala namin mawawala yung results yun pala online yung data base nila for results. Haha. So much worrying talaga when applying.

Hello po. My status has changed to in process today. And it says, we started processing your application June 15, 2015. As far as I know that was also the date my file was transferred to Manila. Ganun din ba ang sa inyo? pareho lang ng date ang file transferred at start ng process?

I know even the smallest details nakakaparanoid. Haha i already sent the application n kase 2weeks ago. Do you think its better na papuntahin ko n hubby ko to have his medical now? Or wait ko nalang request nila?

Hi forum mates,

I'd like to ask someone who experienced sponsored parents to come to Canada for visit or what are the chances for brother or sister? I'm 3 months here in Canada in couple days landed as PR. I'm not working yet and would like to hear other opinion from other who did sponsoring their family already. I've talked somebody who worked at canada services and partners in settlement and integration in my area but I want more info from experienced. Any one here pls message me !
