hello , i went to my MP office today the worker there took all my information and she said she will have an answer to what is going on with my wifes visa applied jan11,2012. Either in 24 hours or the max is 48 hours before i will get a return call from her. I would advise anyone who hasnot had contact from manila 4 months after receiving first letter from them or if your status is not IN PROCESS by 4 months to have your spouse to go to thier MP office. No need to see the MP his workers will assist. She told me the reason why manila and other asian offices ask for the passport is so the applicants cannot find another way to enter canada, they know if once u got here on a tourist visa or work visa etc you would be able to stay because you have a spouse here. The MP office was very helpfull i really dont know why manila couldnt pay some one to correspond to applicants, I think if they charged each applicant an extra 5 dollars they could easily pay someone to correspond so we are not here twiddling are thumbs worrying what is happening to our visa process.

It would be a simple matter to modify ECAS to provide more detailed updates for everyone. Just add a simple automated trigger every time the file is updated (or even just opened). I think the reason they don't is the more information you have, the more you can hold CIC accountable. If you don't know what is going on they can say what they want and do what they want and make up any story they want.

a) the date when the application was received by them through the courier's tracking system? or

b) the date they opened the application? - I suppose this info is given in the AOR, which we don't have

many tnx!

THAT IS THE DATE THE APPLICATION WAS RECEIVED FROM COURIER, MOST APPLICATIONS IN MISSAUSUGA ARE COMPLETED + OR - A FEW DAYS OF WHAT IS STATED ON THE PROCESSING TIMES, WORKING ON NOV 9,2012 WAS POSTED A FEW DAYS AGO, THEY SAY ROUGHLY 55 DAYS FOR THIS STAGE, IF UR APPLICATION WAS RECEIVED TODAY U COULD EXPECT UR RESULT BY MARCH 13-21

I'm just wondering I think there's a mistake with this 55 days on the 1st stage. If they are working on application received on Nov. 9 and the page was updated Jan. 16 then it should be 67 days (more or less).

Before, this # of days in the 1st stage was accurate with the date they are working on and the date the page was updated.

Share ko lang po. Im sponsoring my husband. Hindi po nasusunod ung sa CIC website. As of today Step 1, theyre currently working on Nov 9. Pero mine Dec 3 but we got Sponsor Approval Jan 10.
