Continuation of B: To renew or apply for passport at Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) certificate from Seminar B is required

To avoid delay of visa processing, make sure all fees were paid, and all documents were submited.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). If this fee is not paid with the application, Canadian Embassy Manila will first contact you to send you a letter to tell you to pay. The letter goes to the person being sponsored but the fees have to be paid by the sponsor themselves. You then pay your fees online or at a bank and have to send the proof to CPC-Missassauga. Then CPC-M sends notice to the CEM that it was paid.
It takes time to get back to you to tell that the fees are paid. So it does slow down the process quite a bit. Failure to pay the fee at the time of submission of the application will result in a minimum additional two-month delay in the finalization of the application according to http://www.cnn1.net/pdf_forms/3900E.pdf

Additional documents usually requested by the embassy:
1. AOM (Advisory on Marriage) from NSO- different from Marriage Certificate; should be submitted at CPC-Missassauga together with other required documents at Country Specific Instructions-Philippines http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3905e.pdf
2. Divorce Petition- different from Divorce Certificate; usually requested from Filipino sponsors who are divorced based on experiences of posters in this forum. (For natural-born Canadian sponsors who are divorced, seems that they don't ask from you, but pls confirm at CEM)
3. Appendix A- or Additional Family Information; though submitted previously, they will still ask a copy; the letter usually comes with the AOR/PPR
4. Detailed statement of relationship with the EX (notarized)- for sponsored person with a child from their ex. Sometimes you are required to submit: Ex's I.D, a notarized letter stating the ex allows the child to be sponsored, or other document asked by the visa officer.

But when I got to see it was Sept. of 2009...wow! it's over the processing time almost a year and 9 mos. na pala. I was just wondering why is it taking so long?

nagtaka din ako kase 2009 pa siya eh..
pag matagal kase minsan isa sa kanila divorce or age gap din (minsan eh iba magisip ang mga pinoy kase eh kase ung mga vo na nagchcheck satin pinoy and puti) or complicated ung relationship.. sana nga ma DM na siya kase super tagal na.. sana may update ka na NT_PH

@cynch05 @mecah @ms.vip -- yes, we submit our application at sept 2009 but then by Nov.2009 start process in Manila Embassy... so bali 1year and six months na kami. Pero di naman ata age gap or something. kasi di naman sila nag sked nang interview for me. and beside i did not received any phone call's to them. We ask help from MP before they said that our application Still stage on processing time. till we reach 8months then nothing happened. So we ask help MP again last Feb 2011 and the CEM reply to MP and say's they request us to renew our medical by then Done by March 14. So now its almost two months since we submited our renew medical. hope CEM release our visa end this month. if not by July we are going to ask help of the our MP.
Me and hubby give time to CEM. because we do not like CEM think we pester them.

Hi,

Police Certificate steps:

- Request letter from the consulate of the Philippines
- Bring the Request Letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for stamping (kailangan maaga kasimahaba ang pila)
- Go to the Police Department for finger printing (This usually takes 3-4 weeks to process)
- Bring the police certificate to the Consulate for translation in English (100 SR. yata)

Medical Certificate Steps: (1-2 Days)

- Bring Medical request form (Appendix B yata for spouse) andPicture
- Go to your DMP (Designated Medical Practitioner) which you can find in http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx
- Fill up forms sa Clinic (Specify which VISA office)

Gud pm! Im just new here but i find this forum very helpful. Just want an idea. I sent our application for spouse sponsorship april 19,2011, DM made may. 20,2011. They said application has been forwarded to manila on may.20 but upto now ecas shows that its still not available. Just want an
Idea. Pls.give me khit approx. Time when is it gonna be in process, when will my husband will receive the aor/ppr and how long would my husband will receive the visa after he submit the pp?. Btw, i sent complete application with medical and all the fees. I submitted cenomar and marr. Cert from nso, are they gonna request for advisory of marriage? I submitted only one set of appendex a, are they gonna request for 1 more copy? Pls. Help. Thank you! Waiting makes me crazy. Dont have an idea how long would i have to wait. Pls. Help

Yup they will ask for Advisory on Marriage. Usually dumarating yan together with the AOR and PPR, o kaya pag di sabay sabay, mareceive mo sya 2 or more days as Additional Request after PPR. Iba iba kasi experience natin dito sa forum. Yung appendix A din, humihingi ulit sila kahit nagpass kana, siguro dahil sa ibang applicants my mga kailangang idagdag na info.

Usually late ang pag update ng eCAS, my mga nakareceive ng visa pero wala paring nagbago sa eCAS. at my hindi ring makapag open nito. Sabi ng iba, di daw siya reliable.

Bantayan mo ang email mo baka my isend sayo ang embassy or kaya thru snail mail or call. Iba' ibang paraan nakareceive ang mga kaforum natin ng AOR,PPR at additional docs request.

Pakitignan nalang sa Table na na-post ko ang Timeline ng kabatch mong April. More likely magkaka-idea ka kung kelan my aor and ppr sila. At kung kelan may in process, dm and visa received tignan mo yung mga past batch.

hi welcome here....tingnan mo yung table ni mrsh page 568or567 para ma compare mo ibat ibang case tayong lahat at least my hint ka ......good luck sa papers mo,prepare yourself if your lucky enough mabigyan ka kaagad nang visa mayroon naman matagal but pray is always the key....sa ecas mo wait kang kaunti ma open din yan.
