Petergriffin thanks a lot. But I have so many questions in my mind po that need to be answer so we can go on. First, the one that you mentioned about the "LCR" thing, ano po ba yan?saan yan?
= I have the passport na but hindi pa surname ng maging asawa ko, I have to change my surname right?HOw long does it take?and kailangan ng marriage cert for that di ba?
Mrsh's RESPONSE: ;D
It will take 1-2months gaya ng ginawa ko.
Right after our wedding (im talking here based on my personal experience). And processing might depend on where you got married. Check mo nalang.
1. After ikasal, my marriage certificate na binigay samin ng officiating minister. My 3copies ata yun if im not mistaken. Then kinabukasan, we went to the cityhall LCR or Local Civil Registry office para ipasa yung copy for LCR. Bale my isang copy na natira sakin. If sa Makati kayo kinasal, then sa Makati cityhall LCR.
Then sa LCR pagkareceive nila ng marriage certificate and after paying a fee, they will register your marriage sa libro nila. Tapos yung LCR head ay may part na pipirmahan siya sa marriage certificate copy to be forwarded sa NSO.
Usually, once a month lang nagfo-forward ang mga LCR ng copy nila to NSO. From the LCR we went to, every 2nd week of the month lang. Since i was in a hurry, i asked for advance endorsement. After getting the LCR head's signature, i went to NSO-San Juan were marriage certificates are processed and signed by a NSO staff.
My tracking number na binigay sakin. And a day after, na-receive na ng NSO-Quezon City.
After 3days, pumunta na ako sa NSO-QC. I requested for NSO copy of our marriage certificate and Advisory of Marriage as well. Since getting AOM takes a week, saka ko kinuha mga to.
2. After kinasal and while waiting for my NSO-copy, since my LCR-copy of marriage certificate na ako right away, yan ang giamit ko to get NBI clearance.
3. Right after i got the NSO-copy and AOM, i had my passport changed to my married name naman. Bale it's advisable to get an appointment earlier pa para sigurado na passport na agad right after receiving the NSO-copy.
Then, nagchange name ako sa passport. Sa passport kasi per appointment yang pagkuha. Kaya medo natatagalan. For example today ka kumuha ng passport appointment, pero yung available lang na nakuha mo ay next month or 2months pa. Kaya sobrang tagal niyan.
please I need your help...Thanks..
