i want to ask if there is a big chance for approval for spousal application if you have less evidence of pictures, mostly are just wedding photos because we started as friends for the past few years. then get married. what are the other proof of relationship to be included in support of the application?

Yeah I did it the same way. Followed the checklist, otherwise I would end up with too many envelopes and un-organized documents

Great. Keep it simple and organized.

+1 for you.

Six envelopes ! :o Come on. I don't think anybody has done it before.

3 envelopes are enough...1. Sponsor 2. Applicant 3. Proof /evidence of relationship.

The main thing is just to organize your documents according to the checklist...In my case I used just one

envelope containing all the documents and a smaller envelope for the pictures. I had no problem.

I also used extra sheets with a brief description...for instance, for the evidence/proof of relationship, numbered it from

1 to 4: (1) Proof of communication (extracts from skype, facebook, whatsapp, e.t.c phone log history where I actually use a highlighter to colour

the calls that involved my spouse and I. (2) Receipts from money transfer (3). copies of flight tickets and boarding pass (4) Pictures

You might use even 10 envelopes...but it doesn't imply your documents are well organized.

Thank you!!! by the way how to print the conversations on skype, facebook, viber, etc.? is it just printing the screen shot photos? do we need to collect everyday conversations/screenshots from skype/viber?

Thank you for your suggestion. You really help me a lot. 3 envelopes are enough. I will triple check all my documents and check the checklist again. Thank you so much.

Ok here is another question.
My husband is freaking out (fully), because I told him everyone is doing a checklist for Sponsor application and a separate one for principle applicant application. I explained this is probably done so they know what is in my packet and what is in his packet, but he says if we do 2 checklists and for example on his (Sponsor) we write N/A next to documents for me (Principle Applicant) and vice versa we will be doing it wrong.

Also he is freaking out because on the checklist it states under "For Both" we need to provide pictures of our marriage ceremony. Since we already provided those with the Spouse/Common Law Questionnaire, do we need to provide more of those?

Thanks.

You're welcome.

There is a way to print the conversation...i remember well for whatsapp, there is an option to e-mail the conversation to your e-mail box.

There were hundreds of pages..but I just printed 60 pages..selecting few conversations for the different months over the years till date.

In the description, I mentioned I have several hundreds of chat pages, but have included just 60 pages for simplicity.

CIC is interested in seeing the progression of your relationship over the years.

Some people used Screen shots and it also worked well.

/// I got an e-mail from my VO this morning that my wife's stamped passport is ready for pick up today, my entire process took about 7 months

even though the processing time on the website shows 19 months ....Super excited !!! :P :P :) ///

You're welcome.

Also ensure all your forms are up to date before you send.

Good luck !!!

My entire packet was only 111 pages and about 50 photos. Evidence included three emails and two Facebook pages showing our wedding announcement showing there were about a hundred comments . A couple of skype pages, phone bill showing how many text and calls for a month, credit card pages for several random months and a copies of joint bank accounts. Copies of boarding passes and a list of visits. I put a label on each page saying it was for evidence. Photos were labeled on the back. And we each wrote one page statement of how we met and our relationship progressed.
And followed the checklist for order of pages/documents.
Three envelopes, sponsor, immigrant, photos.

You don't need separate pictures, in my case, all pictures were in a single envelope for both of us. For questions that asked for picture evidence, I simply wrote 'see enclosed pictures'.

I included both checklists as requested...for documents that needed just photocopies, I added twice just to be safe.

Add both Checklists, as those questions that demand same documents for both are generally photocopies.

Tell him not to freak out :P but you do need to include both checklists. Don't put N/A on documents that are included for both you and your sponsor. Just check the boxes. You only need ONE copy of each item despite the separate checklists. Only mark N/A for documents actually not included.

Ok thank you maybe we'll do that!

Ok thank you, that clears that up perfectly!

It is done because the OUTLAND application has separate checklists for the sponsor and the applicant. You are applying INLAND and therefore only have one joint checklist. You need to understand that there are differences between the apps and be clear when posting, as both outland and inland applicants post here.

You only include everything once.
