Hi,i am working on my application. After filling out form IMM5490E (Sponsored spouse/partner questionnaire) i am wondering about what i should provide as additional details of our current relationship that would help to prove that our relationship is genuine and continuing.

So far we got 50 pictures developed showing us in our relationship with friends and family of our wedding honeymoon.plus screen shots of viber and skype and details of joint bank account plus my husband bank account statement that i am operating in my city.

Is there anything else we should include in our application? Right now i cannot think of anything else since it feels like i answered all relationship related questions.

I sent similar amount as you but also a Facebook screenshot showing the number of likes when we posted our wedding date and cell phone bill for one month showing how many minutes to each other's phone number. Three emails to coworkers saying I couldn't attend their holiday party because it was on my wedding day.

We did each type a one page progression of relationship ship statement.

Hi

I'm just wondering if any inland applicants from September have received their OWP ??
There's a thread for 2015 inlanders: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-applications-2015-t255107.2190.html

Looks like things are going nicely. What is it you are concerned about? All your timelines look just fine so far. Now you just sit back and try not to go insane for the next few months (I suggest drinking some egg nogg) and wait. :D

My friend, this simply means SA has been approved and PA app has been sent to Ottawa. And at this point your file is in Ottawa.

Official timeline for Ottawa is 17 months, but if you go thru the thread for ottawa, usually it takes 8 - 10 months (if all fees paid and every doc submitted upfront)

So hopefully by Oct 2016, u should have gotten ur visa or even landed. Hang in there & hope for the best.

I am with everyone...cases have been approved pretty fast lately but then again immigration has been in the news a fair bit in Canada, in other words there is a flame under the butt of CIC, 400K plus back log of people..... I would not count of speed of case approval above the processing time frames they have on the CIC site cause we all know that when the flame is a flicker things may go right back to the way they were....

A petition to the government on spousal immigration processing times has been started , Please share this across all social media networks and take a second to sign this as well.

This can be found at Change.org "Canada spousal immigration processing times"

Thanks Tolexmi.

I'll be optimistic and take 8. Yes everything has been done upfront by me.

Good Afternoon,

I am just about to apply, next week actually. Already filled everything out for a Spousal Sponsorship for my Husbands Permanent Residency. He was here on a open work permit as an Entertainer a few times this year, and in June decided to move here with me and is now here on a visitor Visa since November.

My question is, after much research. I know they can get an Open Work Permit.

But is this actually valid for Quebec applications, as I know we need to go through the quebec sponsorship approval as well.

The OWP is only available for Inland applicants, with valid status at the time that the application is received by CIC.

Most people find that an Outland application (even if the applicant is in Canada) is substantially faster.

There doesn't appear to be any restrictions for those that are in Quebec, as long as they meet the requirements, but...are you sure you don't want to submit an Outland application?! Inland is taking ~28 months (currently) and it's strongly advised that an Inland applicant remain in Canada for the duration of the process.

While the OWP that is available with an Inland application is attractive, being unable to leave Canada, without any guarantee of re-entry, is usually extremely overwhelming for most people.

Yes 28 months is definately long. If it were outland, we would be doing so from Jamaica, which I believe it is 22 months and more as well right now.
