Hello friends !!!

I am a quebec resident and I need your help. I have received a letter few days back indicating that Federal has approved my sponsorship application and now I have to fill out some forms for MICC and apply CSQ for my wife.

I was just wondering when one apply for CSQ how long does it take to get the document?

AH!!!

As she is the one applying for approval thatemail goes to her not you. SA is ssponsorship approval. They must have sent her an email or how would she know? I don't know about work permits. I know before Jan 15 I think, you were suppose to put in an open work permit with the application or something and now you can't. I don't know anything about applying for OWP after stage one outland approval. I would stop working until you get it sorted out. Does anyone else know?
OWP for inland applications only

@TerryKhan, once they receive your application, it takes 2 weeks to receive the letter if you are in the Montreal area. Thats how long it took for me.

Thanks !!! I live in montreal. But are you talking about CSQ or something else?

Yes. For the CSQ these days it only takes two weeks to receive. Watch for when they take your credit card amount and add one week to receive.

Is it not true that they do both? I think she is just asking where's the better place to run her application through because she's been in the US since 2010 but I'm guessing she looked up processing time and saw it listedat 23 mo or whatever it is. LA says the same but if you look at the timelines most are very fast. I don't think she has any special circumstance or criminal issue it's just what it says on the website is intimidating. That's my guess.

NYC and LA are primarily used for complex applications - those with issues or requiring an interview. US/Canada applications are normally processed by Ottawa and only transferred to LA/NYC if they require that extra processing. So when someone says they expect their file to be run through LA/NYC I am curious what complications they have that they aren't mentioning (people are often embarrassed to mention criminality issues, for example.)

Which visa office?

Hey

I applied for the notes and received them last month, it says that they haven't started on the medical or police certificates.... but some places it says recommended pass... can anyone tell me what this all means and if it gives me a better timeline?

Oh yes that's right. I don't think she thought that. Just looked up visa offices in the US I think. But only OP can tell really ;-)
