Will it be possible to share some examples [demonstrates you plan to relocate back to Canada] that can be helpful?
Here is what I intend to use. I'm happy to hear opinions:
- renewed (previously long) expired Canadian passport
- reactivated dormant SIN
- established Canadian bank account
- established nexus account (for more frequent travel to Canada)
- email exchange from real estate agent inquiring about a tour of the area for scouting purposes
- r/t airfare to the area being used for real estate scouting purposes
- printout of email from family member in Canada exclaiming excitement at our moving to Canada.

Good enough you think? I'm thinking of also writing a short "plan document" that goes into more detail with bullet points about: how will we handle moving household goods, pets, plans with the cars, getting health insurance, etc...

It's a good start. One note, be sure to follow up on at least some of the items in your plan - IRCC has been known to ask for more info later in process, and usually works out fine for those who have made some progress in their to do list (and can show it).

Hello, few more questions while filling 5710 is about Details of prospective employer and other details. I am a PGWP holder and applying for OWP as common law partner.
1. Currently I am a full time worker with a employer. Should I fill their details even if I am applying for OWP? Is the employer name required only for closed permit?
2. For the Job title and description, should I enter the SCLPC or enter the actual job title that I have? Is the SCLPC the general one or same for all scenarios?
3. If I am filling my employers info above, under the duration of time to work, what should I enter as I am not on a contract?

Please advise.

If you are talking about OWP for spousal/common law sponsorship, then you are applying for NEW work permit. You do not need to fill in employer information because it's an OPEN work permit.

And about the job title and description, what should I enter? The one that IRCC mentions to enter i.e. SCLPC FC OWP or the one that I am actually working with.

If you are applying OWP under Spouse Sponsorship, consider it as a new application. And fill it according to the instructions given on the guide. I had a OWP, but when I applied for OWP under Spouse Spon. I have followed the instructions.

Hi!

Ooops, we just discovered that the city of birth information differs between the Primary Applicant's birth certificate and marriage certificate. (The difference between "Ann Arbor" and its bordering city "Ypsilanti"). This is an honest mistake ("I've always been telling everyone I was born in Ypsilanti - I had no idea").

Would you write a letter of explanation or work to have the marriage certificate (from 15 years ago) amended and reissued? I'd rather not have that amendment process hold us up from submitting the application.

I wouldn't worry about it. This kind of discrepancy not unusual esp as cities grow and absorb smaller ones. Marriage certificate not definitive for place of birth anyway (neither would a passport, BTW).

Thanks! Would you still write a letter of explanation? (That seems my default move for everything lol)

Up to you. Personally I wouldn't. I don't think anyone looks at marriage certificate to confirm place of birth. If they did and found it weird, 30 seconds on internet would likely confirm that ti's a nothingburger.

But again - up to you.

Hello.
I sent an email to IRCC and got a reply that my file was transferred to Visa office ( Manila) outside Canada. What’s this means?
PA’s tracker and dependants still in progress for background check. Last update was Oct 17 with no notes in the tracker.
Outland applicant December 2023.
No pre arrival email received.
Need help.

The principal applicant can make GC key account, log in and track the status..
