You can apply study permit, but I'd discourage doing so just to arrive early. You will still have to explain the course of study and they will evaluate on that basis. It may not work. You would not have to switch to inland.

Yes you can apply express entry I believe. No guarantee it will be faster. You may want to check in the express entry forum. I believe fees would be lost on one of the apps.

Have you considered just applying for a TRV?
Gotcha. Thanks man. Approval of TRVs is 10% overall. SO not sure if it is a good option to weigh on

Is it okay to apply TRV even before getting a AOR?

IMO it would be better to apply for the TRV first. If you don't have a spousal app in process they might not think as much about your spouse over staying the visa limit time. Having said that, your spouse would still have to have the proof of ties to the home country and convince them that the spouse will leave Canada when their approved visit time is over. If you apply for the TRV have the visit time be reasonable time that a person might come to visit, 3-4 weeks max, it will look suspicious if you say coming for a 6 month visit.

I have submitted an application for my wife in July (2020), but unfortunately, the application is returned due to a missing postal code (January 2021). They have written on the CIC website, " You can use all the same documents and payment receipts to apply again. Make sure the signatures are still valid".
Now I have questions:
1) What signatures do they mean by "Make sure the signatures are still valid"?
2) Does she needs to renew the police certificate? I got the previous one in June
3)Does she need to get new photos?
4) Does she need to re-translate her birth certificate? I got the previous one in June

Hi All,

My lawyer has applied for my spousal sponsorship, me being a wife for a Canadian citizen. We applied on 29th May 2020. I’m in India and ive requested to get the medical exam (within 90days) and police verification done (within 30days). We just got just letter and I’m not sure if this is how the process works? What could be other steps after this? Any one who could share their experience would be great

1] They mean if you modify a form with postal code signatures should be valid and it is my suggestion here you re-fill all forms as a new applicant as you are thrown at the very END of big LINE UP ANYWAYS!
2] no older PCC should be fine
3]older pics should not be too old; say more than 3 months if yes then u must use same pic but have the studio write new dates or stamped with it
4] no she doesn't have to re-translate
Hope it is satisfactory:)

Hello Guys

i am sponsoring my wife and in country specific information they mentioned to fill form IMM5562e for India .So that needs to be filled by principal applicant .There is section B there which asks about spouse travel history , So should i put my history there or is it not needed as i already am a PR. If i have to fill it should i skip travel history of India and Canada as it says "travel outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years".

Please let me know if anyone filled this IMM5562e

Quick question for IMM5532, "Have you visited each other during a relationship" I went to India from Canada 3 times, and every time me and my wife spend time together although we stayed at our respective houses and this time when I went to India, I got married to her and we stayed together for one month. What all details I shall put in to support the above question. Please assist here as I am quite confused.
Do I need to divide my trip for the first 10 days out of 40 we stayed at our respective home and for 30 days we stayed together. For Proof, We have a National Identity document bearing the same address.
Also, the address on my passport is different from the national identity documents as my parents moved to a new house recently, and in India, I was not having sufficient time to get my passport renewed. However, my wife got her passport renewed with our new house's address.

To answer the first part of your question that’s what I did. For example Jan 1 - 10 stayed at xxx not living together then after marriage Jan 11 - Jan 20 stayed at xxx and lived together.
