Hey everyone! I am new here. I recently applied for spousal sponsorship through a representative. Our application was recieved on the 26th October. How long does it take for AOR1 and sponsor approval to come? I heard it's usually around a month but its been more than that in our case and no news yet

Nope. Lawyers are a nightmare. Go and ask your relatives cousins for videos photos they might have to gelp your case. Do you have banquet hall receip?

you can call CPC # 1-888-242-2100 and follow the prompts and asks the operator about your application status. They will tell you the date CPC processing the applications, like this you can have an idea when is your turn for AOR1. As your Oct 26th, applicant so expect your AOR1 any time around mid-December

Hi ,
The status on my wife's CIC account is of "Decision made" and it say that there has been a correspondence on Nov. 16th, 2017 and we are supposed to reply as soon as possible. However it has been more than 15 days but neither she nor I have not received any email or postal letter. I have sent emails to LVO as well as web-form inquiry about the issue but no reply so far.
Today I called the call center and the message was "We do not need interview and we will ask for additional documents if required; currently we are doing background check".
The point I am bit confused about is if there is "decision made" and "there has been a correspondence" status while background checking is going on; what is the really going on? Anyone has any idea of what is going on, please tell or kindly share if anyone have been through the experience please. Thank you

hi, the current wait time is approximately 6-7 weeks from the day they have received it. i got mine exactly after 6 weeks and 1 day.

Consider sending them a family tree and letter of explanation if this is the only red flag in their eyes. You can mention that you read about it in GCMS notes of the officer and felt the need to explain it prior to the interview. You never know if they understand you then thy might skip your interview. It's worth the try.
