Government of Canada delivering faster processing and shorter wait times for spousal reunification:

saw this in the Globe and mail .... i soo hope this is true ... wait times reduced to 12 months ... if that is the case then all of us Dec 2015 applicants are long over due and can consult with MP to make our case stronger.

looking at the cic website ... if you have applied before Dec 7th 2016. your wait time is till 23 months where as if you applied after Dec 7th 2016 then your wait time is 12 months ? ? ? ? :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o this is wrong .... why would people like us who have waited for well over a year have to wait longer and people who just applied wait for a year or less ... ?

i think they should clear the back logs and then proceed or at least include us that have been waiting for such a long time.

He asked questions about my husband ,his family ,job, education, residence
I was fully prepared for these questions and he asked about family background we did not done rukhsati till now because my husband couldn't visit Pakistan because of some serious issues and officer asked so many questions to clear his doubts .

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Question on the linked applications: Does system send an update email if any of the individual statuses change within the application (e.g. eligibility set to passed or security changes from not started to in process, etc.)? I keep logging back in expecting a miracle to happen :D

Thanks for sharing your information. I know it maybe too much, but below is a thread for Pakistan Interview cases in Islamabad. Can you share your experience and questions there like you did here. It will help people in interview queue a lot. Please below is the link

This new timeline is really unfair for older applicants ( ie dec 2015) ... i will talk to my MP in the new year again.

Seems this is good news for new applicants but the bad news for the applicant who filed before December 7 as they will prioritize the applications filed after December 7 >:(
Unless they finish the backlog first which is not there norm.. :( I have seen in FSW program the people filed in 2015 were getting processed but the people of 2010-14 were just hanging.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

They are not saying that they will work on new applicants and not new. There first priority is to get the backlog finish off...All they are saying is that they will be hiring more people on the job with the budget of $25 million so the process can speed up.

As they say "more hands gets work done faster"

so everyone just relax

Same is my status right now

yea my MP said the same that everything has been completed and currently they are running security check, my MYCIC doesnt say anything about eligibility though. i wonder if my MP was referring to my eligibility and not my spouses:S

MYCIC still shows eligibility in process does yours say the same?
