Passport is stamped and is ready to be collected. Just being paranoid about original documents now. :-\ has anyone got theirs back recently?!

MyCIC was updated yesterday and here is what it looks like:

Application/profile status: Closed
Review of eligibility: Passed
Review of medical results: Passed
Review of submitted documents: We need an additional document from the applicant (referring to PPR)
Scheduling an interview:
A background check is needed: Complete
Final decision: This application has been approved

Awesome. Congratulations! :)

When did you submit the passport to the VFS? Trying to get an idea of the turnaround times these days.

Hi s.and.s, are you a 2016 applicant too?

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

For those who had their remedical done, did you have to mail any documents related to the medical assessment after the assessment was completed?

That's a good sign. It means they are close to making a decision or have made a decision on your file. You should Inshallah see some correspondence soon.

But what is the reason to send all the documents back. I have never heard of such thing where the documents get returned to the applicant. Most of the time they don't even return the original documents, but in this case they have returned all the documents. There must be something going on. Not saying it is a bad thing, I am just saying it is unusual. I hope it is a good unusual thing instead of bad unusual thing.
