yes, i grew up in dubai.

if i ever feel like moving back to the west, i'll relocate to the UK since i already have british citizenship. i'll get my wife a spousal visa in 1 day using their same-day expedited service.

you're a british citizen and living in a slow country like canada damn :(

and as soon as some dumb arab tells u your place you'll be back on a flight to toronto :D

Seriously, if u have UK citizenship, its easier and better for you there, plus milder weather! I wish i had that choice

manager won't let me.

Take sick leave for a week or 2 and then give them a doctors note when u return.
Easy, that's what people do here because vacation time is VERY LITTLE in Canada.
So people get sick a lot, if u know what i mean ;)

Yup totally agree! Especially after Brexit ;)

brexit is the best thing to ever happen in UK history

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

i'm doing a bit of research into spousal visas for the UK, and they have an income requirement of about 30,000 CAD. that means I'd have to get a job first before bringing my wife, but brexit will make job hunting a little difficult. as far as processing times go, it's 8 weeks for the standard service, and 1 day for premium. the premium service costs around 2000 CAD... almost as much as my wife spends on shopping every two months.

it's shocking to see the difference in processing times between here and there.

Yes u need to show 18690£ as your yearly income. They normally take 4-6 weeks.

that's not a high amount, I'm sure i can get at least double that. the only thing is that brexit might make it harder to find a suitable job.

Nope i guess. Brexit is going to take 2 more years. Also the people from europe will leave their jobs.

Not to forget the Guilty until proven innocent attitude of CIC. At least for those who don't have spouses in visa exempt countries.

it really does seem that way because the CIC never bothered to introduce spousal TRVs when the processing times started to jump.

also, does anyone know what's the best way to get from toronto to lahore direct? i usually go via europe or the UAE, but this time i want to get to pak as quickly as possible. is PIA really as bad everyone says? and they're so cheap too, i could go business class for the same amount i'd spend on economy for other airlines. :o
