My husband has PR and he is in pakistan right now can he apply my immigration from here?

No he can not. See I am a citizen, living exclusively with wife, even they are not issuing my wife the Visa. Being PR, one can not apply sponsorship while living out of Canada. A PR holder must live all the time inside Canada for spousal sponsorship application, but can have short visits, say 2-4 weeks.

I sent my application to Case Processing Centre - Mississauga, 5 days ago - Xpresspost via Canada Post, and for some reason I'm unable to see the status as 'delivered'. I sent the application from Missisauga.

Is this normal? Does it usually take that long for mail to be delivered or acknowledged by CPC-Mississauga?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

So we are in the same boat Raheel, but I received notification from Canada post that my documents have been delivered to Mississauga CPC yesterday on 15 Jan 2016.

Keep in touch Raheel..I just sponsored my wife. She is from Faisalabad,Pakistan


One question here, I sent Original Educational Documents of my wife, Can anybody let me know how long they keep those documents ? Will they return to me in Canada address or to my wife in Pakistan address ?

I am starting to worry when will my wife will receive those original documents? We have got the visa already and she is planning to land in March. Will they send it back to her at her Karachi house, or myself on a Canadian address? Is it time to contact CIC and trace those documents? Please provide some assistance. Thanks!

Original Documents will be sent to you Canadian Address. So watch for that. If your address has been changed then contac CIC For the address update.

They keep all original documents until decision is made. So You wont be able to get back original documents until your wife gets the visa ( the whole processing time)
2ndly They will send back original documents to your Canadian address. So if you change your address. update your address with CIC Canada.

I actually didn't send original academic records, i was told by one of the immigration consultants that photo copies are accepted.

I'm Aug 2013 applicant and still waiting . Well they transfer my file from ISL to London in Jan 2014 and my visa officer is LJF .

My wife has received from PPR Visa and is getting ready to travel to Canada. Can you guys please advise that when she lands in Canada what questions will the immigration officers ask her when she presents her passport and visa? She is quiet nervous about this and I wanted her to be prepared for any questions that come her way.

1. Passport with Visa. -off course.
2. COPR
3. PofA. -for cases 'without' AEO & family class. (Cash, B/Draft, TCs, latest Bank Statement, Wire Tfr Record)
4. Passport size photos. -qty 2-3 each, for PR Card. (it may not be needed, but good to carry)
5. PR Card Application (IMM 5444E). -this u can do it there, Or carry it before hand (filled) for ease.
6. Goods to follow List (Form B4E). -this u can do it there, Or carry it before hand (filled) for ease.
7. SIN Card Application (Form NAS 2120). -NOT NEEDED at the a/port. But needed later.
8. Kids Immunization Record. -NOT NEEDED at the a/port. But needed later for School Admission.
9. If u r driving, remember to take ur veh docs. If u r keeping the veh at Canada, 'export' it from US first (carry the docs) and perform 'import' documentations, as well in Canada.
