Congratulations everyone who received PPR. There is nothing more than Congrats on last 3 pages . LVO is doing a good job completing new cases well within a year and also doing interviews at the same time for old applicants..!!

Hi everyone,

My wife just got her passport and COPR back from Islamabad today. On her COPR, it says couple of things that are confusing me:
1. There is a condition that says "must cohabit in a conjugal relationship with your spouse for a continuous period of 2 years after the day on which you became PR"
I am not sure exactly how to interpret this condition. Does it mean once she enters Canada, she have to be inside Canada for 2 continuous years with me before traveling somewhere else? My wife is planning to enter Canada and then leave after a week in order to avoid medical expiration.

2. It also says on her COPR, Province of Destination: Alberta, City of Destination: Edmonton.
Does that mean that she HAS to land in Edmonton when she flies here? Because she is planning to land in Toronto to meet her relatives and then fly back from there.

Please provide any assistance if possible. Thanks is advance guys!

Also, I have the following question. Is the PPR the next step for my case? Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes on average from when eCAS shows "Decision Made" to receiving your PPR?

For 1. That means she is getting conditional PR. Which is common for everyone who is married and doesn't have children. That means:
Conditional Permanent Residence means that you and your sponsor must live together in a genuine, marriage-like relationship for 2 years, starting from the day after you become a permanent resident.

If you are a Conditional Permanent Resident and you and your sponsor do not follow the condition, or your relationship ends before the 2-year conditional period ends, you could lose Permanent Resident status. If this happens, you can be deported from Canada

It is nothing special she can go anywhere, she have all the rights a Permanent Resident have. It is just a measure that they don't want fraudulent marriages anymore in Canada. Which is a very good move.

My wife had Edmonton as city of Destination also, but she landed in Montreal and then came to Calgary. They never asked a single question regarding that. But It is important your wife tell them the correct address where her PR card should be mailed at, which takes around 2 to 4 months.

My wife has received from PPR Visa and is getting ready to travel to Canada. Can you guys please advise that when she lands in Canada what questions will the immigration officers ask her when she presents her passport and visa? She is quiet nervous about this and I wanted her to be prepared for any questions that come her way.

What if she goes back to Pakistan before receiving her PR card, can she enter back into Canada with her COPR? Or she needs her PR card?

COPR is just a confirmation paper of your PR. You enter into Canada through Immigration visa on your passport and it is single entry. She can't come back to Canada if she doesn't have PR card. No one else can't receive her card also, there is a procedure outlined for Urgent PR card. You can see information regarding it here:
