Hi,

I'm a Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife from Pakistan. Our timeline is as follows:

- Application received by Mississauga on July 17, 2015
- Sponsorship approval on September 14, 2015
- Medical results received (unsure exact date, but our upfront medical was done on June 14, 2015)
- Request for translated nikah nama on November 11, 2015 (I got the nikah nama in Canada so it was in English, I provided them a scan of that via email on November 11)
- Email from VO on December 11, 2015 saying the information will be placed on file, "which will be reviewed by an immigration Officer in due course. No further action is required at
present."
- Some time between December 11, 2015 and December 27, 2015 our eCAS Permanent Residence Application Status switched to "Decision Made" but no further note appears when I
click the link.

We haven't received a ppr yet. Any suggestions on what the delay might be? I assumed it was due to the holidays. Also, will my wife be receiving the PPR email or will I?

Should we be worried that we haven't received the PPR yet?

Alhamdulilah received PPR today morning. It was a long wait . 31 months..
I want to ask if there is any problem in photographs taken to submit with passport, which I asked a photographer to do according to new specification as per instruction in PPR ,is there a facility of taking photographs at VSF Karachi ??

Congratulations . I was anxiously waiting for your PPR coz it was long wait. Well mine is long too but at least someone got good news , inshaAllah we will get it soon.

ab goli hei ya nahi Allah knows better. Meri wife ka interview 19 November ko hua hei and hamara bhi same process tha. Wohi forms sign kerwaye and police certificate rekh liya. Humein bhi bol diya tha k interview se satisfied hei.

So i am also waiting

Dua keriye apnay liye and hamarey liye bhi.

Monoo bhai ye batao apki timeline kia hai n apka medical kb expire ho ga.

Salaam,

You dont need to take VSF facility for photos although they are providing it. Just capture photos from market photographer defining the foto specs.

All good to go... VCF will give you tracking ID after you submit docs/passports. and hopefully you will get visa stamped within 4-5 days. You can track those IDs and when its status show like "passports has been dispatched to ..." then dont go on same day to KHI VCF, visit them the next day.

Thanks aloott . I submitted my passport on Friday, 8th January. I have received an email on Tuesday 12 January that your passport has been dispatched from visa office to visa centre karachi. But due to bad weather flight from islamabad carrying the passports got delayed so i received my passport on 14th January.

Application reached back to Mississauga : 29th May 2013 ( came to know by tracking of application sent )
Application was sent to Ottawa from Mississauga : start of june 2013
Sponsorship Approval : 6th june 2013 from Ottawa( According to ATIP notes )
Original documents returned to husband from Ottawa : 22nd august 2013
Application sent to Islamabad : 2nd september 2013 ( according to ATIP notes ) and husband did not receive any email about transfer, Missed
Came to know that file is in Islamabad ( 29th may 2014 by Help line of CIC)
Re medical request : 18 june 2015
Re medical done : 8th july 2015
ECAS changed from Application received to In Process : 10th october 2015
Visa officer assigned : Nov 2015( According to ATIP notes )

I see some members waiting for PPR after decision made, or PPR2 after PPR1 for long time, I think they should do case specific enquiry.
The other thing , perhaps as visa officers are currently in Islamabad to take interview , and they are here for a little bit longer than usual , may be this is the reason of delay in decision made and PPR.I think the visa officers long trip to Islamabad is to clear up the old cases waiting for so long as processing time has become 17 months now and this new time has put pressure on visa officers to clear up old cases first .

My details are as below.

I have applied in Mar-2014 (husband case) **without up-front medical**
File transferred from Mississauga to London and got sponsorship approval in April-2014
Got medical request on 11-Feb-2015 and medical done on 25-Feb-2015
Online status was changed to In-Process
Got email from LVO to re-submit few forms in 1st week of May-2015 and we have submitted those form next week of May-2015
After couple of months thru MP we came to know that LVO doing background check.
In early October-2015 we did "Order Notes" and came to know that Criminality, Eligibility & Medical passed. Visa officer put good remarks, he says that marriage is genuine and well organized and couples seems comfortable. Strong proofs of ongoing relationship. He is satisfied.
Then we got an email from LVO by end of November-2015 to submit color copy of valid passport bio page and recent photographs. I have dispatched both via courier within couple of days after receipt of that email. Since then I'm waiting for their feedback.

Its been around 55 days and no feedback from LVO. My medical will expire by end of Feb-2016.

My wife send case spacific inquiry and she also send "Order Notes" couple of days before.
