Alhumdulillah, received this email from LVO this morning.

"Dear Applicant,
Please be advised our office sent you the attached letter on October 19, 2015. Please follow instructions."

It was the PPR. So they sent it on the 19th, 4 days after DM but our imbecile lawyer has told us nothing since DM even though we called at the end of OCT to let him know to keep an eye out. He just says yeah just wait, I'll let you know. I can't even comprehend how mad and happy I am at the same time.

Also Does Appendix A + passport photos have to be filled in for accompanying child if that child is not included as a dependant in your file but is travelling on their own Canadian passport? And you don't fill in for sponsor if they're not travelling with you right? Thanks in advance.

Now excuse me while I go kill my lawyer..............

Appendix A applies to people who are being sponsored (and dependents being sponsored)
If your child is having Canadian passport, there is no need to enter his/her name.
If your sponsoring spouse is travelling with you or not, there is no need to enter his/her name.

We did remed a month ago and then were asked for addtl docs which we sent by email in oct 27th and arrive in Lvo on nov 4th. Ecase not updated to show anything. Should we send a case inquiry email or wait it out still?
Remedical does not show updated on ecase?
What's the average time after docs received for DM? And if they are asking for addtl docs does that mean background checks are done or not?

Don't worry, some officers do not update the status. And they are probably working on your case, they should contact you shortly.

which stage are they at? and how long are they expected to take??

Don't worry, some officers do not update the status. And they are probably working on your case, they should contact you shortly.

Dear All,
A quick question:

We got the PPR on October 29, sent the passport through VFS Karachi on November 4th, the status on VFS global just mentions that passport was submitted to Islamabad office on November 5th . Any idea how long the visa stamping could take, as we are planning to go to Canada ( I am husband, sponsored my wife and I am on vacation in Pakistan) in the last week of November , around 27, 28. Should I buy the tickets. When should we expect the passport back?

Firstly Congratulations to everyone who have received their visas.

I have a quick question. Is there anyone whose spouse is living in Saudi Arabia? I live in Saudi Arabia and at the time of application, I did not submit Police Certificate from Riyadh as the visa office here advised to wait for a request.

Now I received a letter from LVO asking for police certificate but its not a PCC endorsement request and just a simple letter.
My question is do i request LVO to send endorsement letter ? or I can just obtain from the Pakistan embassy.

My friend was in a similar situation as you are, get the police certificate from Riyadh as soon as possible and send to LVO. You need to have a PC from Riyadh police not from Pakistan embassy.

two photograph of sponsored person and dependant children follow specs written on the email
Copy of the ppr email

Take your passport to Lahore, Karachi, or Islamabad VFS office

Do not buy the tickets until you receive back the passport.

But you can work with a travel agent to hold a couple of seats for you (advise them you're waiting on wife's passport).
Sometimes they can hold seats for 2-3 days at a time (making a tentative booking). Keep doing that until ppt comes back, then issue ticket and fly. Get the polio certificate meanwhile.

I wanted to request notes but my lawyer did not support the idea, and I am regretting to listen to him, he has been worse than a post office for us. Now we are awaiting interview which is to be held soon, please don't ask when.

Medical - Pass
Eligibility - Pass
Security screening - Blank (what they check in this?) I think, Means they will check if your name appears in any security restriction list.
Biographic - Ready to be Assessed (what they check in this?) That is your background check e.g., your bigraphy like NADRA records etc.

I know i need from riyadh. but what i am talking about is the PC request letter which LVO did not send. I sent them request as riyadh office also advised to get it from LVO. but i dnt knw if they will reply. so i am thinking to get request letter from the Pakistan embassy as they can also give request for saudi pc letter.

All the guys out there in Pakistan can you please suggest any good stores in lahore or faisalabad or anywhere nearby to get good quality ready made men suits (formal 3piece)..Im only aware of ladies shopping stores...so if you could help a bit...EdenRob, charcoal, bonanza, republic, royal tag -- anything besides these plz...
