Got this email from LVO today MASHA ALLAH and to my surprise the VO sent it to both sponsor and applicant. I am going to Pakistan next month for my baby's delivery and will try to do the paperwork completed when I am there. The questions I have now are:

1. What is the procedure of adding a dependent.

2. They mentioned only passport, pictures, birth certificate, "b-form" (mandatory for passport) are required, do you think I have to prepare something else too..? What about medical for baby.?

3. And can I take it as a positive response as everything else was passed on my case although they didn't mentioned .? my ECAS is still in process.



This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to
continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
We note that you are currently pregnant with an expected date of delivery in late September
2015. We are concerned that a final decision on your application now may cause problems for
you in September.
We intend to proceed with a final decision on your application after the birth of your child. In this
way, your child will be added to the application, and issued a document to become a permanent
resident of Canada as well.
For this, we will need you to inform both this office and CPC-Mississauga of the birth of your
child as soon as possible. Your sponsor will need to prepare application information to add a
dependent to your application. The application to add a child to your application must be sent to
CPC-Mississauga. I suggest that you obtain your child's birth certificate, travel document, and
photos (to meet requirements for the application) as soon as possible after your child's birth.
Once all requirements are met and your child is added to the application, we would make the
final decision on your application. A positive decision will result in permanent resident visas
being issued to both the principal applicant and dependent child.
Instructions and information on adding your child to your application may be found on the public

Hi Guys,

My cell phone number has changed and need to update LVO with the new one, is there a number I can call and have it updated? or I can only update through case specific inquiry online? I received SA in June 2015..

They correspond with email or physical mail only, so if email or your mailing address (spouse or applicant) have changed then you have to inform LVO about it. Otherwise no need to worry cell phones numbers are not that important .

How long it takes after in process to pp request any idea....

No one can answer "How long" and "when", but according to the current trend it is taking around 2 to 4 months after in process to DM, as they are taking long time in doing security checks..!! But this is also an assumption.

Hi guys,

I received email that visa validity is based on tmedical validity. And since the medical expired in June they have asked to provide information for any travels since the original medical was done, and if there were any illnesses since then. They have asked for this info so medical officer can evaluate and see if medical can be extended. I have responded accordingly.

My question is if they extend the medical, how much time do they give for extension. I have read previous posts, and people are saying they give extension for 1 Year, which I am a little iffy about.

My other question is, if they do extend the medical, how long would it take approximately to receive ppr request.

Hi, I got the same email 4 months back. in response to their email, i told them complete detail of my travelling as i use to travel a lot. On my email they asked me to get chest x-ray done and on that basis they extended my medical for 1 year so if you are asked for re-med (x-ray) which is most likely to happen, it will be valid for another year. My case has been processed in 4 months time from receiving such email so you may expect something in 3-5 months

Do all ppr requests ask you to submit your passport through VFS now. Also how long after of submitting passports do people get them back from the visa office

How do you get your passport request?? Over the email or by post?? What if you have a lawyer hired would they email him?

Congratulations!! You have a nice timeline.
When did they received your additional docs?
What did you send as your proof for continuous relationship to them?

I never sent any additional documents and CIC only contacted me for re-medical and then for passport

Take the Stage 1 sponsor approval processing time from CIC website and add 11 months for LVO processing time.

If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals
