Hi guys,

I received email that visa validity is based on medical validity. And since the medical expired in June they have asked to provide information for any travels since the original medical was done, and if there were any illnesses since then. They have asked for this info so medical officer can evaluate and see if medical can be extended. I have responded accordingly.

My question is if they extend the medical, how much time do they give for extension. I have read previous posts, and people are saying they give extension for 1 Year, which I am a little iffy about.

My other question is, if they do extend the medical, how long would it take approximately to receive ppr request.

A visa officer can extend the validity of a medical exam for an additional 12 months.

I am sponsor living in canada and applicant is in karachi pakistan
I dont know the exact date of trasferribg file to lvo
How can i tell seeing emails or ecas?

Are you Canadian citizen or PR?
Sponsoring wife or husband?

Just an FYI...
LVO processing time

I took the last 10 entries for processing time at LVO in the spreadsheet
1. 251
2. 259
3. 270
4. 286
5. 316
6. 316
7. 317
8. 319 <-- 80% of cases, LVO is completing in 320 days
9. 330
10. 347

320 / 30 = 11 months

This is the same processing time prior to LVO handling the case file transfers from Islamabad Visa Office that has skewed their current stats.

So just add 11 months to the date that your file was transferred to LVO and this will give you a fair estimation of when you will have a DM in your case.
Add an extra month for when to expect PP back with visa.

Of course, there will be individual cases that vary. But these stats represent 80% of the cases completed from the last 10 data entries on the spreadsheet.

just want to know in how many days did u get back ur passport with visa ??? N did they TCS ur passport or u urself collected it from canadian high commision application centre

No you have to receive by yourself or Family member at Visa Application Center.

Normally 3 to 4 months after re-medical.

My cell phone number has changed and need to update LVO with the new one, is there a number I can call and have it updated? or I can only update through case specific inquiry online? I received SA in June 2015..
