Hey everyone,

Few quick questions regarding the application, what should be the validity of a police check from Pakistan? My husband's police check was issued last year October, 2014 but there is no expiry date on it. We didn't apply earlier but I am applying for his sponsorship this month. So is it good to include the same one or should we have a new recent one? Also, do we require to have his medical done and submit it with the application?
My husband already came to Canada on a TRV for our son's delivery in December, 2014. Should I include that as well with my application, his trip was a month long?

Police check (for CIC) is always valid for 6 months from the date it was issued, although they usually doesn't ask for second police check, but I would advice you to get another one so that you don't get a month or 2 wasted just because of that.

Second yes upfront medical is mandatory and you should submit.

Third for TRV, yes you are obligated to include all his personal history (travel, education, work, unemployed etc) from the age of 18 till now. ( I left a 4 months gap in my wife's, and they recently asked me to resubmit the whole form ) also they have all the related data to your passport so don't even think of hiding anything from them, it can be harmful for both of you and may be termed as misrepresentation.

now yesterday i got this email from london

Dear xxxxx:
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to
continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six
months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original updated Pakistan police
clearance certificate
Client Information: Passport stamps, photos and flight itineraries if your sponsor has
visited you in Pakistan since the submission of your application.
Client Information: Evidence of maintained communication with your sponsor since their
return to Canada after your wedding including proof of online communication. Please
ensure that the evidence covers the duration of your relationship.
Client Information: Photos taken together with your sponsor after your wedding
Marriage photos: Photos of Rukhsati
Please note:
All documents must be accompanied by English or French translations. When original
documents are requested, notarised documents are not acceptable.

please someone explain does it mean 1 more step close to visa issue?????

Kindly start to gather all these documents and send them as soon as possible, this means your case is opened they will also send you a request for remedical soon too, so keep an active look out on your emails also when you send all these documents, make sure you provide them enough proofs so that they don't ask you for an interview.

Kindly provide these details for the spreadsheet:
Are you the sponsor or applicant?
Is sponsor Canadian Citizen or PR?
Sponsoring husband or wife?

No, we had complete rukhsati. All the evidences were provided at the time of submitting application.
No idea why would they ask for interview.

I just received the following email from LVO in reply of my case specific inquiry. Please advise experience members; what & when to expect now ? What can be asked in interview ? What documents will they be asking for ? After interview, when will they ask for PPR etc.

Dear Applicant,
Please be advised that your medical examination results have been received, and they are valid until 25-03-2016.
Please note that an Immigration Officer has determined that an interview is required. This interview will take place in Islamabad by an Immigration Officer based in London, during an area trip.
We expect to conduct one area trip in each quarter of the year, and will be in contact with you approximately one month prior to the interview.
Please await further contact.

case is in process from 10 feb and medical request received. what will be happen next and was background check complete or yet to be start after remedical.

No, we had complete rukhsati. All the evidences were provided at the time of submitting application.
No idea why would they ask for interview.

I would recommend to order GCMS (electronic case notes) to begin.
See if you can check the notes for any comments by CIC as to why interview is required.
(has to be something related to marriage anyway).

Use CIC website for ordering GCMS notes (by sponsor), user fizz1234 had link in his signature for help if necessary

Sulaiman..I was asked additional documents plus proof If I visited and also re medical which was done in June 2....I submitted everything. ....I just visited my spouse ..do I submit this as a proof ?

Once we get a medical re-assessment request.Are they background checks done after or before the medical. How much time does it take Delhi to send them to Lvo and on with the next step. Also do we get PPR request after the Ecas status changes to In process or can we get it while in Application Recieved. Thanks
